Sounds better than my milltek non resonated exhaust. Had the shop weld twin tips and got a s3 diffuser. I can’t seem to locate the rattle during cold start until it warms up
@@Quattrogame_pro no it’s not valved. I need to put it on jack stands and see where it’s coming from. Only on cold start and it sounds like it’s rattling against the heat shield.
Catless cars are always going to be raspy-er and "tinny" sounding. High flow catted downpipe- is def a good move. If you do that- you can probably remove the resonators as well, but dont remove them if you remain catless.
It’s not working the 3 inches pipe at the end of the y doesn’t fit on the downpipe is it normal did you weld it or use the normal clamp that was on the Audi a3?
@@yph482 I don’t have mine welded yet, but if you unbolt the RS3 clamp and slide it over it fits… you just have to put the bolt back through after it’s on
@ yeah it’s not made for OEM downpipe, it’s made for aftermarket 3 inch exhaust systems. If you’re using an OEM system you’re gonna need to either upgrade your downpipe or use a reducer fitting. I think OEM is 2.75 inches
@You No, I have a CTS Turbo 3-inch high-flow downpipe. My question is, how does it fit? The CTS Turbo pipe at the end of the downpipe has a hole to fit another pipe on top of it. If I remove the OEM exhaust from my Audi A3, the clamp is not big enough. Does the single outlet of the Y fit perfectly on top of the 3-inch downpipe, or do I need a clamp for this too, like the one I have on the Audi RS3 mid-pipe?you how did you fit the 3 inches single outlet on your downpipe ?
that deeper tone youre hearing (aside from the extra cylinder) is more than likely coming from the fact that the stock dp on our cars has a primary and secondary cat the fact that that most aftermarket dps have 1 and depending on what brand the cat location is different are the reason why its a higher pitch, the best bet to still have a good ammount of flow and still achieve the deeper sound is more then likely the MAPerformance downpipe which from what im seeing on the market is the only one with a cat in the factory locationof the primary and a resonator in the location of our secondary cat now im pretty sure a vibrant res (a very small one) can be welded in and get you to that sound but thats what im noticing from the A3/S3/Rs with the RS exhuast

@@oliverrichards6327 it’s not a perfect fit, however if you use the factory rs3 exhaust clamps you will need to unscrew the clamps bolts completely, slide it over the y pipe, and re install the bolt once it’s mated to the y pipe.

You fitted that exhaust with the resonators on you must remove those for deeper sound. However with less power than a stock rs3 the exhaust will not be the same as the pressure build up will be less. Without the 5th bot you'll defo need at least 400bhp to get a perfect note
