This is a beautifully narrowboat. Isuzu engine is one of the most reliable engines for narrowboat, the fit out looks great. Someone is going to buy themselves a really nice boat.
Stainless steel in 10mm and 6mm plate would be 10x the cost of mild steel, which is currently expensive enough. Some narrowboats were made of aluminium, Sea Otters being one of them. They never rust but they do tend to dent easily and internal condensation can be a problem.
It’s £79950 I think not 50000. Boats like everything else gone up especially livaboards because house prices so expensive and this is another more affordable alternative for some of if they can work from home etc or retired
Why do all these boats have engines that look like they came from the stone age. Why don't they have an efficient modern diesel driving a battery bank with electric motors?
Because electric or hybrid engines are for new builds and much more expensive - and not necessary. The same applies to lithium batteries for the majority of owners who are not permanent cruisers. Add to that the sound of the engine as you pootle along at 4mph; it's a love thing!! As you have no interest in living aboard a narrowboat it's all academic really 😊
You really don't want to get into that sort of thing. Your going to have enough to fork out replacing electric car batteries as it is without adding up the cost of electric boats. In an economy that's NOW driven by huge mark up because competition has all but been destroyed, you don't need to complicate life and get cornered into a trap like doing away with cash etc.
Opening cupboards can be useful to help people understand depth of cupboard and how suitable a boat maybe as a livaboard also helps one get an idea what condition boat really in if you look carefully. Personally I find it a bit dull opening every draw or cupboard but if I was serious about viewing a particular boat in order to purchase would be helpful 😊

That type of corner optimiser is called a “magic corner”. The kidney shaped ones are called lemans :)
Just so you know haha

Don't think so sausage look above.
@@nicothechihuahua3167~ ‘sausage’ 🤣
Wondering how much it costs to make one using stainless steel ?
Never need blacking or rustproofing
This would make too much sense, therefore not allowed.... lol
Stainless steel will rust especially when scratched and scraped going through locks so would need some sort of coating anyway .

Because it only needs to push a skip at 4mph down a muddy channel. How complicated/expensive do you think it needs to be to accomplish this?
£79950 for a 16 year old skip, must be one born every minute!

You are really obsessed with cupboards 😂
You can never have enough storage on a narrowboat.
If he doesn't show all the cupboards, commenters complain mightily !
I always fast forward when he gets into the kitchen...
James doesn’t have the obsession, one of our fellow subscribers has one!
