    I once ask quotation from Reno guy, kitchen easily hit 10 k and above.. trust me ikea furniture consider good price, design can mix and match easily..

    Ikea kitchen cabinets will lasts longer if we know how to assembled it correctly and passionately. Just follow 100% the manual. No corner cut. If we hire the assembler/contractors, they just want to get the job done. Please expect the get bended screws, chipped edges, scratches, misaligned, disoriented etc

      Agreed! Pengalaman guna ikea kitchen cabinet dah masuk 7 tahun tapi still like new. Cuma silikon clear je touch up mana perlu kat line2 sambungan.

    Your kitchen sink is quite deep. So the water outflow may not be so strong, because the level of the bottom of the sink is almost same as the outflow outlet. So over time, stuff may get stuck at the pipes. So make sure you don't let a lot of "waste" go down the kitchen sink

      Thanks for the tip! yeah, trying to ensure not much gunk go down as well. We have those filter sieve at the hole.

    One or two wide stainless steel shelves over the sink to dry and store dishes and plates and you are good! I think they would be fine over the window.

    IKEA product is good but most of the time I feel it limits my idea of designing.

    Be careful with Ikea tabletops and the hinges. Very easy to rust or spoil..

    From zero to kitchen... love the ending sayang sayang part, hahaha, remember to clean the filter every week or 2 weeks once, or else gonna get stuck. Love tat deep sink

    luckily the cabinet handles were installed vertically by the installer...if installed horizontally like you want, they will look ugly and is the wrong way to install (harder to open)

    Oof I saw potential problem with drain hose. Probably because the sink too big and deep. The hose is too long and angle too shallow gonna sag after awhile.

    is it not too hazardous to have a power outlet near the sink ?
    i think the water will definitely splashed into the power outlet...

      It is, we purchased those covers for the outlets through shoppee.

    Beng, dun use that pipe hose type. It will sag when you pour hot water and change it to the hard type (Solid PP Pipping)

    was wondering how your kitchen cabinet fares after 1 year? i'm a bit worried about the frames getting bloated over time because of Malaysia's humid climate. do you see any happening?

      We keep our induction cooker below the cabinet. Honestly, we never thought about the hood because of the way we cook.

      probably to ensure there are no leaks..l...with water its always better to be safe than sorry

      Yeah, we have to wait for silicon to dry - takes about 48 hours.

      @@bengtures oh. The Myanmar guys are good installers. I’m OCD type so they did a very good job for me. I love my oak table top too after 5 years with darker color. Looks good

      You have to go through IKEA and they will connect you with the installer cause IKEA will reserve the time for you.

      What’s the point of being so budget. It’s very cheap looking and impractical kitchen, esp that sink and lack of stove and rangehood. They’ll struggle to sell this apartment in the future.

      @@luppycheong4149 this is modular concept kitchen..you can easily remove it later and change to another design..by the time want to sell maybe your existing design already outdated and need replacement anyway😁
