I watched it on NHK a long time ago. I recorded it on VHS and listened to it many times. Later, I learned that it was the soundtrack of the movie Condor. I also like movies.
Mr. Scott has the remarkable ability to always play "appropriately". It may not so much a technical skill, but maybe more an extremely well developed ability to LISTEN, and then respond in exactly the proper way.
A lot of stuff is like here. Al Jarreau, George Benson, Chick Corea and.......etc have video & audio version of the same concert. May be supposed to be different, specialy for people who collect, for example: I have on video that you don't have on CD... real matter I don't know

Tom Scott has managed to get the perfect sound for an amplified (miked) sax.
I wish all acoustic saxes sounded like this!

Here for Dave Grusin!
isn't that the same Tom Scott who did the theme for "Hawaiian Heat?" (ABC's answer to Magnum, P.I.)
Yes. He's done A LOT of shows. He's probably best known for "Gotcha," his theme for "Starsky and Hutch."
Why 'Goodbye for Kathy' appears only on CD and not on the DVD?
