How To Create or Set up VHD(Virtual Hard Disks) on Your PC

- Today I am going to talk about VHD which is also know as Virtual Hard Disk Drive. You can create partition as file in your windows computer easily through this method.
Note:- This video has followed all the RUclips community guideline rules. Everytime I create my VHD and download a game, my C drive starts to fill up.
I think that might depend on if you do fixed size or dynamically expanding.
It’s not a separate drive it’s just your c drive but cut into pieces (partitioned) and disguised as a separate drive

i have some doubts
if i lost my data saved in VHD how can we backup it ?
can we save usable files like games files, OS(linux,ubantu) in it that can be runned timely ?
is there any chance to loose this data from VHD ?
please reply to this hope i get this things cleared

Huh. I never even realized one could just create a VHD. Well, at least i now know, that i don't have to buy new hard drives at the moment
(maybe an SSD eventually down the line and even that i would only get for my PS4).

they are not separate drives they just take the storage from your computer

Vhd files didn'havin problems except if you using it for too long(vhd files in usb flash drive only)
the problem is when i download ghenshin impact and select the VHD for my download location it still keeps getting in local disk c

If you install something on VHD, does it get space from "C Disk"?

It didn't work. It disappeared after I restart my laptop And everytime i install something to VHD, it used space from C Disk

Go into your Original drive and you will see it there...
If u go to where u saved the hard drive
Click on the vhd,vhdx or whatever virtual hard drive file u have
And there u go it should be back now

If you want that the vhd dont dissappear you need to copy the important files from local c drive to your VHD

no
depending on how you make it, it may take the storage from your main storage. The VHD is mainly for sorting your main storage. VHDs are not real drives, they are just a piece of your main storage.
i created sixtyfour terabytes on the vhd
when i go to create VHD it isnt a option

you right, i had 50 gb free, thinking i would get more space for games, i created the VHDD
now i got only 1 GB
and when the HDD is full, it will disconnect the VHDD and not allow more downloading .

You probably have not enough space bcs it takes your local disk space so you need a second drive for it

@TrashGAMING it fixed itself with a windows update after a month or two
