    I am not active on this channel so I will no longer be answering questions.
    1. No, it will not fry your hair due to the high smoke points of the specific oils I mentioned.
    2. Do not use baby oil, canola oil, or any alternative that I did not mention. The point of the video is to tell you which ones are acceptable to use.
    3. It will not make your hair greasy if you use a small amount and avoid the scalp.
    I hope that helps. Have a nice day.

    question: wouldnt this be frying to your hair? because you add oil and then heat just like you would to a frying pan

  • @curlfits
    @curlfits 9 лет назад +28

    Okay, first of all putting oil in water is pointless, because
    a) Oil floats on top of the water, and the pipe of the spray bottle is at the bottom, so you are basically applying water to your hair.
    b) I don't know why, but whenever oil is mixed with water and applied to the hair, it just makes the hair more rough and hard.
    Instead, I would suggest applying a few drops of oil directly on your hair, before and after using heat. Just take a little bit of it on your palm, rub it, and then distribute it throughout your hair. And don't worry it won't burn the hair, otherwise girls living in UAE and all those hot tropical countries would have a burnt mass on their head instead of hair. Applying oil directly on hair, and then using heat is completely safe.

      I usually add in some aloe vera gel like the store bought bottle that looks like hair gel and then add in the oil and it mixes in perfectly bc i have heard that aloe vera can work as a heat protectant

    Love this *Argan Rain %100 Pure Argan Oil product!* My hair is naturally curly, frizzy and dry. I use a lot of products prior to blow drying to tame my curls and frizz. I added the Instant Argan Oil Hair Treatment to my ends after I have let my hair dry some prior to using the blow dryer and it really helps. I also use it on dry hair the next day to help with the dryness and frizz. I think this product is great and a little goes a long way. I recently purchased a bottle for my sister. Great for Color treated hair. I use the hairdryer or heat tool daily and this product helps protect your hair and keeps it moisturize. You only use a drop, maybe 2 depending on how long your hair.

      That's what I was thinking. How can you mix it up???

    • @ippsaa
      @ippsaa 8 лет назад +15

      You just want to combine the molecules temporarily. The oil drops will float on top of the water but give it a strong shake and as the molecules combine spray the ends of your hair avoiding the scalp and wait for it to completely dry before using your heat source.

    This really works! I use Shea butter oil and it's only 1.99 at my beauty supply store. If you can find a beauty supply store look for a health store. I just straightened my hair today for church on Sunday and I'm going to wrap it tonite and tomorrow night. Another good oil to Coconut oil.

  • @rhinestonedust

    But wouldn't the oil burn your hair? I feel like it would have like a "frying" effect much like in cooking (oil + heat = frying)... I know it's good to add light oils after using heat, to moisturize and add shine.

    I'm wondering if I could turn a sample from my Birch Box into a spray. One month, I received the Beauty Protector oil in a small vial. The following month, I received a sample size spray of the same stuff. Now that I am out of the spray, I was wondering if I could just reuse the bottle and use some of the oil in the vial, mixed with water, to do the same thing?
