Commenting as someone who has done the M'Cheyne reading plan this last year, everything Paul says is true, 100%. Because now that I have a wider knowledge of the Old Testament, many MANY things both in other OT books and the New Testament make sense. Plus, there are many examples where the texts relate to one another almost like it was intentionally placed that way! Once you get through the entire Bible on his plan, it will do wonders for your growth with the Lord Jesus and offers a plethora of not just knowledge, but conviction to serve the Lord better.
I love this! Paul Washer is a true inspiration of mine, and I've started the M'Cheyne plan at the beginning of this year. The Bible is the word of God spoken directly to us, so listen to it!
Please consider finding a church!! It is very good and valuable for a believer to regularly worship the Lord and live in community with other believers. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
