Sweet vid, thanks. Short & to the point just how I like. I just got a 2012 800 myself. Gonna change the oil tomorrow morning. Good to know it’s the same oil I use in my car lol. I’m new to atvs, holy schmokes this thing rips! It’s got an aftermarket (HMF?) exhaust tho so it’s loud af!

do you think it is a good idea to use full synthetic 0w-40 oil from a different manufacturer?
Be careful when taking off the oil plug. My copper gasket stuck to the engine and almost fell into the oil pan. the torx T40 bit fit perfect. I always fill the filter with oil halfway so it's not starting dry. I used a fram PH 6017A filter.

The drain plug is a 6 sided hexagon on mine, definitely not a torx The torx just tears into it. 2008 800 is a 6mm allen wrench.

What can happen if u ride it with Bad oil?

Does the pan plug have a washer on it?
If your ride is relatively new it may still have the washer on it. Most lose it in the processes of changing the oil and never realize it.
@@everythingatv-utv-reviews3565 - yeah, that's what just happened to me. Found it in the oil catch pan. I'll know for next time.
