I get it...the open cars system gives all riders equal access to the odors created by the unwashed & mentally ill, marijuana/cigarette smoke, and free passage of viruses throughout the train. More money being wasted by the MTA.
CTA take notes
With 1 homeless person on the train, you'll smell it on every angle. If theres a person you don't wanna be around, you now CANT get off on the next stop and switch carts. So this is literally, horrible. This is stuff devised by people who do not take the train and deal with these issues.
Bingo !!
We've had that kind of connection on trains in rural Denmark for 20 years. I wonder how NYC of all places haven't caught up.
You're better off living in Denmark than NYC.
@@joeyjamison5772 Probably. But if you look at the potential that NYC has, it could be so much more. It's just wasted.
NYC is so overrated especially by Europeans.....I think people see it in movies & shows & automatically think it's some magical paradise when in reality, it's the dirtiest, rudest, grittiest city in the world not to mention its infrastructure is decades behind most other cities of its size & stature.
Here in Chile (Latin America) we have this thing about 40 years ago
because the metro is 200 years old, London had the same issues
Open gangways will cost New Yorkers in their lives.
That wont prevent crime it will spread to all now
How much was spent for this and given to mayor's and governers "friends" or donates. Don't worry upstate will subsidize this as normal.
Nice job MTA
NYC and London are both years behind Toronto Canada, We've had open gangway trains since 2008/09. This is nothing new to me.
She is litterally surrounded by armed guards wtf?
1:20 it's that jeremy fellow!
How does one now put safe separation between themselves and someone following them? At least in locked cars one can run to the next car then run off to escape. But dang then one may need the open car to also run. Smh, idk. Either way NYC need a cop on EVERY train. And they have enough to do so. Mayor Dinkins did just that in the 90s.
The homeless new homes. They are very happy. Clean beds.
Europe had these for decades, this is proof that America is not the best.
No, America had it right by having independent cars. Now they won’t be able to get away from black thugs or a troublesome car.
R they still in running cuz idk if they coming I’m in the train rn😂
Noooooo now the whole subway can smell
Great now people can bust wind and propagate it through your car now too.
I kinda like it
When the crack head can move and annoy everyone😂😂😂😂
You act like he/she can’t do that now 🤷🏽♂️
oh sht no more pising, shiting ,smoking between the cart's for homeless, now gonna have to do it inside the cart🤣😂🥲
Mexico City too
Mta we need to bring all the 211 R car to new york
One of the worst ideas in NYC transit ever - given the fact that every night there's a homeless human toilet camped out across a row of bunches in at least one car, now the entire train will smell like shit. bravo deblasio and Adams
Criminals are going to have a field day with these new toys
Now when someone smokes on the train itll fill the whole train instead of just there cart
Wait, in the chasing scene in "The French Connection" there is a train with open gangways... And it's a FIFTY YEARS old movie.
That wasn't open gangways it was just opened train doors
The windows are way too small tho
Copy Japan not London
The Moscow subway has had these kinds of trains for years. The NYC subway has finally caught up. Wait, I take it back, it is not even close. Where are the cellphone charging outlets on every seat, like in Moscow subways? Not to mention, the NYC subway looks like CR*P compared to the Moscow subway.
Ahhh the added to smell to not 1 but more cars will the unique experience for the subway riders. I can see this going off the rails so to speak fast. 👀🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Open gangway for the criminal gangs. Now they can rob the entire car not just one in a jiff. Avoid these things if you value your life.
I ride the C train and I never see them😭😭😭😭😭😭
Sounds great for load balancing. However with the uptick in smokers and stinky people doesn’t seem promising 🤔
No subway surfing because of open gangway trains.
