I have never understood why coaches, when the league target is basically out of reach (no offence United fans), why they can't just look at fringe players and youngsters and say to themselves "the first team regulars have let us down, these other guys are practically willing to run through brick walls to prove they are worthy of Man Utd and we can't realistically reach our league objective, so let's try some fresh legs and give someone else a chance". I watched the game as a neutral today and honestly just shocked at the lack of hunger and intensity of the players, the lack of pride of playing at Old Trafford in front of 75,000 fans and against a very good team in Arsenal. That's why you become players to play against the best and become the best, not by rolling over and scraping by.

If players are injured, how many of these are picked up in training??? That's on him too. It's happening far too regularly.
One thing I'd say about McClaren. He might not have been a great manager but every single former United player who worked under him say he was the best coach they worked with. Paul Scholes said last week that there is absolutely zero McClaren DNA on that defensive set up, set piece strategies or general shape. He claimed McClaren used to spend sessions setting them up to not get beat, especially against difficult teams.

Injuries have killed us, with had 13 different cb pairings this season, Arsenal have had 3. Over 50 separate injuries. Yes performances have been bad, but there’s no balance to this team.
