"Only one in five acts on line-ups at major festivals are female." Vanessa Cutraro, Managing Director of Buback Tonträger and booker of various FLINTA festivals, starts her REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL DEEP DIVE with this discouraging figure for over half of the world's population. What's more, queer people are even less represented on festival stages. That's why, according to Vanessa, FLINTA festivals, which are a safer space for non-male individuals, are so important.
As part of the industry, Vanessa sees it as her job to diversify the music industry - for example through equal booking: We need equal slots for FLINTA and male acts as well as equal pay. In addition to what music industry representatives can and have to do, she also explains what you as a music fan can do to contribute to a more gender-equitable music industry.

„Nur jede fünfte Person auf Line-ups großer Festivals ist weiblich.“ Mit dieser für über die Hälfte der Weltbevölkerung entmutigenden Zahl startet Vanessa Cutraro, Geschäftsführerin bei Buback Tonträger und Bookerin verschiedener FLINTA Festivals ihren REEPERBAHN FESTIVAL DEEP DIVE. Dazu kommt, dass queere Menschen auf Festivalbühnen noch schlechter repräsentiert sind.
