I love Sylenth. I was one of the beta-testers back then and also made a bunch of the presets that are still in the base preset banks :-)
that's really awesome, respect!
unsung heroes
Then you sir are a legend
@@WoodyPianoShack Its Jamie Davies I love watching you and hear the tunes your playing on the synthesizer Woody Piano Shack my friend.
Sylenth is still the most user friendliest plugin! Love it!
Bought it in 2017 and still use this beauty to this day 😍
It sits in a mix really well and has patches that are comparable to a good hardware synth.
"Thank you for trying this demo" I've been listening to the same thing over and over again for 4 hours straight
It’s safe to say Sylenth1 is here to stay. It just does what it’s supposed to do. Every time I open it I never make the same patch twice. And that’s what I love about it. Also, the light digital footprint is has compared to other synths of this caliber speaks volumes.
The pad sound at 3:30...wow...still a great sounding synth.
Sylenth still sits in my setup after all these years. If I want something that absolutely dominates an entire mix with ear splitting brightness? Yep.
I bought sylenth1 in 2023...so I'm pretty late to the party. What a mistake! Beautiful sounds, endless amounts of presets, easy to sound design with...and barely ANY cpu. I could run two dozen instances of this plugin and my CPU would not be sweating one bit. Easily my favorite go to synth moving forward.
If I could have only 1 synth it would be Sylenth1
I also got it in 2023 man ur not alone
My bro bought me this for my bday😃
Another addition to my synth VST Collection 💟
Thank you 🙏
Damn right. Sylenth was, is, and always will be awesome 👍
I pushed the like button so hard when I heard Propaganda's Duel
what a banger!
@@WoodyPianoShack Those were good times man.
It sure left its mark in the vst world, so simple to program.
Some of these sounds remember me of H.G. Fortunes wonderful plugins!
5:28 This patch reminded me of "Crazy" by Seal.
Very underestimated VST, I have used this in a lot of my music productions - sounds are amazing - cheers!
Nobody ever figured out why Sylenth1 sounds good but it starts out with very low aliasing oscillators, a good filter and some light psychoacoustic processing.
People always said this was outdated and overpriced, but it's still being used by one of my favorite composers/producers, and I ended up getting it myself when it went on sale. I'm very happy with it, and I'm glad to see you demo it!
I would say NO, it ISN'T OUTDATED!
Wow! That's great! But think with Pigments you may create similar sounds. Or what do you think?
i bet you can, but perhaps part of the appeal here is the simplicity, and low cpu?
Are you still using it? Have you found a way to make it outshine the new and current vst instruments?
loved the kraftwerk patches!!!
They cleaned up the engine a couple of years ago (much less noise on the waveforms; and they wasn't that much noise to begin with), so it's kinda like a 4th gen figher plane with modern electronics.
interesting comment and I like the analogy! no m1 native support though so more modernization needed!
so so beauty. but I am curious track id. mostly the first piece. very familiar but I couldn't get it out
Omg pretty sound🎉
Unfortunately it doesn't run on macs, it would be great if I could use this again I loved this 10 years ago
i'm sure it does. under rosetta on new m1s.
Perfect for hardstyle
Aaah Yess! Th akRAFTWERK sounds, yesss!
Sounds Great.
I made sounds for this mate (factory bank 5) ♥️
Who doesn’t love a bit of Ryan Paris?
hello! you'll have it stuck in your head the rest of the week!
@@WoodyPianoShack It’s already on my 80s kitchen playlist, so it’s never truly out of my head!
4:10 ohh dolce vitaaa
Is there a big preset collection to download for this?
it comes with hundreds of presets, and this synth has been very popular and their are hundreds of 3rd party sound packs available.

Du, du hast, du hast mich...
Hello the piano on the Yamaha montage sounds better than the DGX 670 - 660 ?The quality of the piano and the sound. I use 2 Hs7 monitors and a Yamaha Hs8s subwoofer. Please answer me . thank you very much . Horia
Arpeggios, the gated rhytmic sounds some glossy pads. All part of so many trance productions from around 2010... (And still are).
It cuts through a busy mix so very clearly!
And the bass sounds when you turn up the resonance still has some very nice bottom. Great filters!
Hi :D where can I find this soundbank? It sounds really good
Who makes and sells the best patches for it? Synth leads, bass, and brass...
Hey ! What's the song at 6:02 ??❤️
Hey! What’s the song at 1:40??? So familiar and awesome!

@@Abnormal_sound thank you!! Amazing!! I’ve actually never heard this, but it must have resonated with my soul!
Now it's 40% off Black Friday 2023!
2:40 The bassline popped in my head a while back but couldn't for the life of me remember who it was.

@@djdrwatson Thanks.
00:48 song name?
It's an OK plugin.
Awesome work, I highly rate sylenth. There are secrets using the EQ to boosting for example 500 and 900 hz, sounds like a different thing altogether for some sounds. Also it can do PWM & pretty complex nev sourced modulations. ruclips.net/video/wtPdHbBtWbM/видео.html
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
What prog is that your using to triger the notes
chordie app
I think I recognized a Nu Shooz song in there.
3:28
Nice
If it can do wavetable with same engine would be cool
Nah they should add oscillator sync and pwn
@@ProjectHMF basically basics
@@partlysimpson5154 yeah
@@ProjectHMF you can do pwm in sylenth you just need to waste an oscillator+second part
@@SynderNOfficial ur right its just not ideal
Este vsti es muy antiguo ya
about 15 years I think! still sounding strong!
antiguo pero bueno y sigue siendo muy, muy popular
It's mad when we start getting into when I were a lad about plugins. How things have gone on. It probably has hardly any CPU footprint I guess. But it does sound dated from an ol school night club time of putting your hands in the air. When I were a lad.
Propaganda song !!! Omg I love that you played that !
Prefer these vids where you do “samples” using recognisable music. I assume now not allowed on RUclips?
i can get away with my approximations!, they go under the radar :)
Not my fave, but this reminded me it does have some cool sounds.
it has aged quite well :)
@@WoodyPianoShack only wish is that they updated the UI a little and added more routing options. It really is a timeless classic of a soft synth though. One of the best ever made.
To my ear, any old early-2000s synth is gonna have some good sounds, especially fed into interesting modulation and time effects.
For me... WAY batter than that ambient shtuff.
I’ll always love this synth because the sounds and the sound quality are amazing. However, I have always found it too bright to actually use in a mix. No "warmth" at all. It just dominates, and doesn’t sit well with other synths. It’s brilliant for EDM where you just want the biggest, brightest sound, but for anything else - nope.
Having said that, just this week I used preset 88 "BS Italo" on a pop track. It's a very usable, fat bass. It's the only sound I ever use on Sylenth.
... with the arpeggio turned off.
brightness is easy to attenuate and warmth couldn't be easier to add
@Nicolau Poceiro yes, as well as the right tweaks to Sylenth1, like subtle pitch drift
@Nicolau Poceiro to me, like many others, it is about lower harmonics, and EQ, filters, preamp/saturation/distortion, sine lauers, and pitch drift can all contribute, even horn players like clarinetists and trumpet players have access to non-digital tweaks to the same end
@Nicolau Poceiro The Korg Minilogues and Prologue are analogue synths and they have a cold sound. It varies.
There are some fake Woody account posts(saying "hit me up on telegram") going on in the replies here....
Sounds like cheap general midi from the nineties. Crappy sound.
Your timing is off by 20 years. This synth was one of the main deliverable platforms for shipping EDM presets between 2010-2018. There's been thousands of different EDM related preset & patch banks products released for Sylenth1. The reason that it won is because of sounding better than other synth plugins. You've heard Sylenth1 countless times if you listen to electronic music, and when you heard it you were not hearing anything related to a GM rompler sound. It was a platform for genre-specific sounds, I.e. you'll find "Tropical House" Sylenth1 preset banks. If you don't understand how to use a tool like this, it is your own fault for being a newbie beginner, you would also not understand how to use something like a Roland Juno-60.
@@zyxyuv1650 can you show an example of the track where these sounds do not sound like cheap general midi shit? I know, you bought it and feel very sad…
@@sevchyk Check these sounds out ruclips.net/video/wtPdHbBtWbM/видео.html
