Yeah I thought the spoilers in the comments were too much, but dont worry there are still things that havent been spoiled (fortunately) that you can experience and enjoy for the 1st time. I request all commenters to refrain from spoiling the game too much, main story or side missions
All I have to say at this point is, exploring the open areas is way more important in this one. That is where you get most of the good armor and runic attacks.
I got game tips for you to help out a lot and no spoilers either 1. There’s only like two moves in the game that aren’t a red unblockable and you can’t parry but they are only used by bosses and they are blockable regularly so you don’t have to worry ab parrying cause you can parry everything else. 2 when playing as Atreus use your triangle move to add a bunch of sonic status to deal more damage and also damage surrounding enemies while also adding status to them as well while attacking the sonic status affected character. 3. Atreus is weak so you need to have enemies affected with status to really do damage.
If you stun an enemy and the R3 prompt is yellow, try hitting them until it turns red so you can get a finisher otherwise you'll just kick them off of you.
If you don't want to be hit by AOE attacks - dodge or roll back Also Quick turn is Shield + Down button It was I - Iksor - who told you this last time (maybe because I wrote a comment with helpful tips) Or you just read another idk
Everyone knows about Kratos past since the ghost of sparta became a legend before the greek world was destroyed, and the people from greece spread it. The norse world knows about it since Tyr traveled to different mythologies. The shrines in 2018 showed him traveling specifically to greece
Friendly reminder that you can use the blades for crowd control because they can hit a lot more people at a time than the axe. Also, can't wait for bro to try the Valhalla expansion
Remember light axe throw to an enemies head stops them becoming ‘elite’ (levelling up). Throwing your axe at an enemy’s helmet (especially light elves) knocks it off dealing a lot of stun damage. So you should get in the habit of it
@pacadile2025on lower level enemies yes, but otherwise it’s very inconsistent. I found the light axe throw to the head works regardless so I recommend that.
Quick little tip that saves you going forward in this game. I’m only 6:17 in so i don’t know if you adjusted. But It’s a massive tip so I have to tell you. If you inflicted with bifrost, frost, fire, poison, use rage to cleanse it immediately. Then exit rage.
You can make the quick turn the swipe down on the touch pad. Found it helpful, you just have to look for it where it says "swipe down" for keybinds on the left and then find quick turn in the options on the left
Yo Bro Look, I am a Experienced God of War player wouldn't call myself a pro but still.. 1.To quick turn you need to have your Shield on and press the down d-pad so L1+Down arrow And BTW the Flame whiplash (the mash triangle for the blades) ITS OP Bro Upgrade it if possible and if your playing in Give me God of War then u might be cooked if u don't explore and get loot not from the story but from the rest of the realm..I recommend Svartalhiem cuz it's stacked.. Do ALL the side quests that you can BEFORE doing the Path "Consider Tyr's Plan" Trust me... Just...trust me. Do all the side quests you can BEFORE that.
I was literally just thinking "man i wonder when this polar guy is gonna upload again" and then i opened youtube for a surprise haha. Happy new year to you too brother.
4:00 all elemental attacks, including bifrost, will still afflict you even if you parry/shield. 38:35 Atreus in the first game was able to summon spectral squirrels of Ratatoskr, not just wolves. Just wanna say this game rewards destroying Odin's Ravens. You could wait to do this cause it's not possible to get them all til the end of the game anyways, but you'll find out soon if you do some realm exploring why you may want to get them done sooner rather than later. Getting the side quests done too is the best way to get better loot and upgrade materials as well. You can fall behind pretty fast because you don't have the armor and shield upgrades you want. You should really go back and get your side quests and hidden mini boss fights done. Happy New Year, I'm looking forward to your next upload.
You can parry elemental attacks without being afflicted. You just aren’t parrying right. The whole point of parrying is so you don’t get damaged or afflicted.
Atreus learned the language from hearing Sindri speak to the serpent, his gift of languages is one of his god powers. Guess in the end it all is just plot
Uh I don't know if its apart of Atreus skill tree or if its instantly unlocked from the get go but i'm pretty sure if you do L2+triangle you can grapple towards enemies
still loving the series and watching you play the first game was a ball. i'll be waiting for each episode to drop regardless of how long it takes, so you do you and don't worry about it.
Fun facts: In Norse mythology, Ironwood is a forest where Loki meets his baby mother. Ratatoskr's spector form, the Bitter Squirrel, was a summon in the previous game. He gave Kratos health and rage stones depending on Atreus's arrows. If you had explored more, you would've found him. You can find that summon in this game during one of Atreus's missions. The singing is Faye's lullaby. And yes, Kratos actually did hear it when he tried to go back into the light. In the game, Týr isn't a giant. But in the mythology, he's biologically either a giant or 3/4 giant, depending on the story.
Use aim with Blades of Chaos and hold R1 and spam it to build up stun on fodder enemies super fast🔥 also quick turn is block+down on d pad. So sad u forgot 😢
You should change one setting, the input for sheathing weapons. It's D-pad down by default which just gets more annoying throughout the game, you can make it the same button as equipping the weapon. I promise this is better in the long run! I would also switch dodge and interact (X-O) but that's just preference
Just a lil tip, if u ever want to cheese a fight, even a boss fight, look around to see if there isn't a place you can climb/ blades of chaos swing away. From there, throw your axe, and when the enemy starts leaving, and gets out of range, come back to the fighting place, and repeat. Also, you'll encounter a boss called Fiske at one point, no spoilers, but just know this. You'll fight him in a house with a garden. The house is a one room hut, and has a hole in the wall, though you have to hit that specific wall first to break it down. To cheese the fight, run from the hole in the wall to the garden to the main entrance, etc, in a circle. Throw your axe, and voila Hope this helps
It's generally agreed upon that stone wall is the easiest for most people, especially those with bad reaction times. So for someone inexperienced that wants it a little easier especially in the beginning I would recommend getting it.
Why don't you use the blades of chaos more its been the axe the whole did you forget theu exist or something and in fights with groups blades are better ❤
Tbf he probably stopped using the blades at some point because of how in the first game there often Bosses and mini Bosses with attacks you needed the axe for.
@okk2005 Hmmm ok so I can't currently start a new game ATM so I googled it. Apparently, any successful hit builds up rage regardless of it's ranged or melee. The way I play, if an enemy's outta arm's reach I'd march towards them with constant axe throws until I was close enough to start swinging. So I probably took those throws as a sign that rage builds up faster😅
It's always funny seeing people's reaction to Tyr and his pacifism. People seem to always take personal offense to it like "the fuck mean you don't want to fight?! Aren't you a war god?!" Not everyone wants to fight or a crash out like Kratos lol
Is the levelling up mechanic only in gmgow difficulty? I have played this game on gmbalance never seen that mechanic. However, if I remember, I think the same mechanic was present in gow 2018 for the same difficulty

You should upgrade the first set of armor the game gave you (not the one you got from the chest) it is the probably the 3rd best armor in the game because it increases all your stats instead of just 1 or 2 it carries me from the beginning of the game until nearly the end when I got the secret armor
You are using wrong shield for your gameplay style, you are supposed to use shield to use the to use the energy you have stored by defending as when your shield is red as it get harder to parry when the shield is storing some energy from taking hits

38:46 So in the first game, Atreus has a Squirrel Summon for making health. That squirrel is a piece of Ratatosker
Ohhhh and I never used it so that's why I didn't get it😮
Is okay dude almost no one used him or at least I didn’t 😅
In the first God of War, you can find a spectral summon for Ratatoskr that digs up health stones

Pay close attention when playing as Atreus. There are a lot of upgrades you can find as him. You can't go back if you miss them.

P.S I mean this genuinely also forgot the question mark on my first response
@@gittihacsi758The game encourages you to hit enemy weak points, but apart from that you gotta experiment to get results.

You really need to do the side quests as soon as they are available, they add so much to the story and gameplay

14:04 Bro... Brok is using a hammer to break the collar/chains around Tyr's neck. He was a prisoner for a very long time.
