For it to go up in price and down in quality, it is disappointing in this economy. Thank you for keeping it real for us.

I love the Dior complexion products, but am glad I have all the quints I really wanted in the old formula. Ty for the review.

Same here. I did buy Denim when Jen told us of the reformulations, but nothing else has been of any interest. I do buy the Backstage Eye Palettes which are a favourite of mine, but I have much better quality products from other brands that are leaving Dior lagging behind them. I like an eye-shadow to have pigment, so I can decide how subtle or impactful the look will be, not Dior. I'm not paying the amounts we are charged in Australia for a wash of colour. That's simply not happening. I'm more excited about the Byredo Dreamscape Palette, the neutral Givenchy Eye Palette plus extras, that are coming this week and the beautiful new palette released by Lethal Cosmetics called Mellow Grove. The shades in the Dior Quints are nothing new and I already have Delices plus all of the Prada Eye Palettes, one which has a purple shade included. I own two lilac/lavender blushes, the Lilac Baume Essential from last year and a lavender highlighter. I wonder if they realise how far behind they are?💖

I admit that at my stage of life now, that I deserve to indulge in luxury brands on a more regular basis than I did beforehand. This doesn't mean that I've cut out great quality Brands like Oden's Eye and Lethal Cosmetics whose formula is above reproach and not to mention the cost is so very reasonable, and you can't argue with fee shipping from Sweden and Germany to Australia! If insisting on being a luxury snob, you will have to accept what you get, no matter the cost. This doesn't play out well with me. I want quality and am in no way ashamed of admitting to buying a few Indie Brands. Believe me Jen, I've been through a great majority of all your earlier video, including the Dior ones. You've been a great help when showing these palettes so I could decide whether I would invest or not. With Dior, I started out with the Backstage Eye Palettes and Cheek Palettes (of which I managed to buy four from the five released). I have every highlighter shade covered that you could possibly name in a powder form from many brands. It was only this past Christmas that I tried a liquid highlighter for the first time from Givenchy. One, an icy-pink looks stunning and the bronze looks just like a Chanel Liquid Lipstick, as it's too dark for the cheeks on my fair skin. I have every colour you can think of and more and don't need to be buying any more, just because they're in a liquid form. Sure, they look beautiful, yet I simply don't need them. Let's not forget our Baume Essentials, Westman Atelier and even a balm stick from Dior in Opal I own. In 2022, I bought every Dior L/E Quint and Backstage Eye Palette and do not regret this. Yet, after experiencing such great quality from them previously, and from all of the other brands that have very much impressed me, I simply do not have the money to waste on shadows that aren't performing as I'd like them to. As I have Delices, I won't need the new Quint you previously tested. If I wanted an icy-lime shade, I can use the one from the Chanel Byzance Quad with that shade or a highlighter that looks the same. My lilac highlighter has more pigment than that shade in the Quint. I also have a lavender and lilac Glow Blush from Lethal and one is still available and just stunning, depending on your skin-tone naturally. We should always remember the abundance of eye-shadows that can be used as highlighter or blush and lipsticks as blush too. In these times, when everyone appears to be on a low-buy, we should be experimenting with what we have already and not go by the labels that the brands slap on a product. When I saw the swatches from this Dior Quint in this video, I liked them much more than the other. Unfortunately, I still wanted more pigment in these lovely shades. I adore copper, bronze, orange etc. shades. Yet, I already have so many. I'm at the point where I only buy the special releases that mean something to me, such as the Byredo Dreamscape Palette that is arriving any day now. Jen, I'd much rather that you save your money and purchase what means more to you. My reference to the Delices Quad was because virtually the same look can be created from this and the Dior really wasn't warranted. We really need to watch our pennies in these days and with the amounts of releases being pushed on us, there is no way that I expect any content creator to attempt to get everything. Save the products from a regular line for later and purchase a special L/E product instead of missing out on something you may love. How can you not be tempted by the Dreamscape Palette? I saw someone from the US trying to sell the Flora Kalahari Palette on eBay for over AUD$1,000.00!!! It sold for just A$135.00 here upon release. Put your own preferences first Jen. I'd much rather that you be happy with what you manage to buy. I much preferred today's look to the other palette and if I had the choice between them, would rather go for this colour story. Take care, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

Interestingly in the UK we have Pearly, Pink, Gold, Rosy, Peachy and Bronze, ut we don't have Nude... It looks like it is similar to the gold one. Love the formula, I have just Pink one and it is so versatile, but thinking of getting the gold one as I am just back from holidays on a sun! they are really good and you only need a tiny bit...Thank you for the review, Jennifer!

I'd love to see this Hibiscus lip tint, lip glosses and lip oils too if possible. Thank you Jennifer for showing all of this to us ❤😍

I am very fair and I have the Dior Glow Maximizers in Rosy, Nude and Bronze. My favorite is the Rosy! It’s great as a blush or on top of blush and on my lips. Occasionally, I’ll use it on my eyelids as well. It’s a gorgeous color.

Here for the honest and feisty opinions! I have the lavender pre summer Suqqu, and the delices, so I can use what I have. I appreciate dior making it easy to hold onto money, but I do miss their old formula. I bought new look, and mini rose after the reformulation, and I felt kinda burned, haha, they didn’t spark the same joy. Mini rose was better than new look, new look like dragged on me like pure corn starch.
I did buy tones of their new liquid highlighters and glow primers, and the mint nail polish.

I like this Quint more than the other also. I agree- the newer formulations aren’t the best.. the last quint I purchased was the LE 523 beige Couture! Thanks for your honesty.

i ordered the nude during the sale and waiting on that order to ship, since ive been using the LE one almost daily i think id get good use from it. I've been waiting on the bronze glow to launch in the US though because i definitely want the blush and possibly the maximizer if i find a swatch first.

The last dior palette I picked up was Atelier mainly because of the color story and design but I’m with you very disappointed with Dior reformulation. Not planning to pick any up in the future. Liquid maximizers on the other hand are fabulous! I use these as blush, bronzer or liquid highlighter. I have all the shades other than gold and pearly didn’t work for me as left glitter particles all over after drying. Rest are all winners.

Dior and Chanel seem to be the only ones still doing "spring" and "fall" makeup collections. Everyone else releases whatever, whenever. 😅 In Dior's case, they really want their makeup consumer to buy their perfumes. Dior's eyeshadows seem geared toward their wealthy teen consumers, whose parents don't want heavy makeup looks on the kids. I just don't think Dior's target is adult working women.

I remember watching your complete Dior shadow review 2 or 3 times to help me decide which one I wanted. I got soft cashmere and I wear it for special occasions. It’s too bad these aren’t as nice, do you happen to know if the singles are the same formula?

Not super excited about the Dior eyeshadows. The colors are similar to some Chanel palettes I already own which are better. (Coral, light purple). I love the maximized and bought the white, bronze, peach and gold during the Sephora sale! 😮

I don't hate Dior either. In fact my favourite & most used lip products are their lip glows but I cannot purchase their quints since the reformulation. They're just too expensive for what they are & I have plenty of their old quints which I love & enjoy using.

Oof.. Idk Jennifer, drug store and mid/high end makeup has improved so much, in quality and ingredients.. So for me, price increase has to account for that. I'd rather go for prada/tom ford/cle de peau quads/quints over dior, since the price gap is no longer discernible. :-/ Thank you for the review, sad about 2 price increases from dior this year. Love the complexion products from the brand though.

Thanks for comparing Delices with Pastel Glow. What nobody has done is compare Pastel Glow with the Silver Backstage LE palette from last fall. I think the finish will be closer to Pastel Glow. Great job with the Coral palette, but I don't need it, and many of your viewers don't either. Especially at this price. This whole collection is a pass for me. I have Delices and the Silver backstage palettes. And I hate the nail colors. At these higher prices, these brands really have to offer something revolutionary, and so far, they haven't. Thanks for the video!💚

I have to admit that Chanel has surprised me with some of their releases. I was so blown over by the Byzance Collection of Quads, that I bought them all. I do like the Baume Essential Sticks, yet only buy when they can be used all over the face. I did buy the Mermaid Glow this year and even added the Highlighter that shifts from blue to pink, which looks amazing on the eyes! Chanel seem to be reaching out, yet Dior are only lagging behind. I have every colour highlighter imaginable in powder form and two from Givenchy that I only got at Christmas that are liquid. Why would I need to get every shade again in a liquid form? Dior aren't listening to their customers and that's a problem. When we are experiencing launches from Prada, Rabanne, Isamaya Ffrench, Givenchy, Byredo, and endless other better quality products, why would we shell out these prices for Dior? I still like a number of their products, but just not anywhere near as excited about them. The Byredo Dreamscape Palette is cheaper than those two Quints together, with change! The former will arrive any day now and the latter haven't even made it to Australia - nothing new. If Indie Brands can create exceptional eye-shadows with outstanding pigment and quality, why can't Dior get it right when they reformulate with all the money they have? They beg for feedback, yet do nothing to satisfy the customer.🤷🏼‍♀️💖

@@krisushi1 Hi again. You and I were just talking on someone else's comments thread. Are you getting the Byredo Mineralscapes? Also, since you like indie brands, check out Sydney Grace. She makes individual shadows as well as palettes. When I first found her she was only making individual shadows. The quality is amazing. And she has a wide range of colors. She also ships internationally from California. You may want to try a palette to get an idea of what she makes. $52 US for 15 curated shadows. She often makes a Light and a Deep version of each palette too. She also makes liquid shadows and face products. Nobody talks about her much, but they should. Natasha Denona makes great eye palettes as well.

@@DeborahCarlston My Mineralscape arrived yesterday! I had to order from Selfridges as there has been a delay with the release date here from Mecca. Apparently they still have yet to arrive. Anyway, I saved some money getting it, despite being from the other side of the globe. It took less than a week from order to arriving. I've had great experiences buying from Selfridges. I had my Givenchy haul arrive yesterday too. Just when I needed a day in bed due to my back playing up more than usual, I end up with the two deliveries. I actually checked to make sure that nothing was coming and was assured it would be Friday, tomorrow. The Mineralscape is beyond words! As my bedroom was slightly darker, I used the torch on my phone to look at the shades and it blew my mind! They all had sparkles of various colours reflecting back, just like a diamond. I haven't used it yet. I need to get back to my skincare regime before my skin goes dry completely. I watched Alicia Archer use her new palette this morning and it's well worth watching. We have a funny way of thinking alike and she used all the shades that I wanted her too. When she got down to the last two looks, I literally crossed my fingers hoping she would use the stunning teal and muted lavender shades. She did both! It was due to the Remembrance Palette coming out last year that I discovered her Channel and subscribed immediately. I actually watched a video of hers last night that goes through all of the Natasha Denona Palettes, except for the smaller ones. I love ND shadows! My first was the Love Palette that was 60% Off at Sephora at the EOFY Sales. I then got the Sunrise reduced and at the EOFY Sales again last year, I got the 28-pan Purple-Blue, Metamorphosis and Triochrome Palettes. After these, there was no turning back. I wasn't in a hurry to buy any Midi-Palettes, yet wanted to try and get the larger ones whilst still around. I got Sunset and Lila reduced and then scored the Gold Palette from eBay. Last Christmas, (🎶I'm not about to break out into song despite being a great admirer of George Michael), I got the Biba reduced from Selfridges, how ironic with London being the home of the Biba store! The one larger palette I would truly love is the Safari Palette and also attempt to get the Green-Brown reduced. It's just that I own so many eye palettes, it really won't matter if I can't get them. As I'm in the highest Sephora tier, I get 10% off when using my accumulated points. I then used these to collect the Midi Palettes I wanted. I didn't get the Pastel or Zendo and Circo Loco wasn't available. I'd only get that if it was sufficiently reduced as I'm veering away from bright glittery shades at my 'mature years'. I've still got all of the PML motherships, about 8 six-pan, two Quads, the two little plastic five-pan and the Celestial Divinty and Odessey! It's been hard to get some Indie Brands here and when the shipping costs way more than the order, that's when I lose interest. I have ordered from Oden's Eye with a good selection from them. My absolute favourite is Lethal Cosmetics! I saw Patty Alonso use their Berlin '89 Palette which I had to have due to watching the Berlin Wall basically disintegrate via TV. When I was in Germany, I bought a beerstein that commemorated this event with a piece of the wall on top, so I really wanted this palette. I discovered that there was one stockist in Australia from a store that caters to the 'individuals of society' such as gothic etc. and sold 'spooky themed' items and clothing. I would always buy Lethal from them until I discovered that some of the newer releases weren't being brought here. To be on the safe side, I now order directly from Berlin. I fell for their shadows that applied beautifully, just as well as any luxury brand. I started off getting their palettes and then started buying up the Singles. They just released a new palette last weekend called Mellow Grove (US$45.00). For the price, these Indie Brands are great value. Lethal have now created a shadow called Pure Metals which have a high impact sheen, without being glittery. They've upped these buy creating Holographic Pure Metals which are spectacular. They really need to be seen in person to get the best view of them and the colours within. The great thing I like about this brand is that they create for all ages. Their Multichromes aren't bright like many others can be and it's their aim to make their products inclusive for all. Not that I'm about to wear a yellow blush, yet Angelica Nyquist tried it on her skin-tone which suited her. Then again, she didn't get the lavender Glow Blush as it was too cool-tone for her but suits me. It's very similar to what Dior will be releasing in the Backstage Blushes. I also buy Lethal's Highlighters, Glow Blush, tried a Gel Liner and even picked up some Eye Glitter Flakes in my last order, which I've yet to use. I now own every Eye Palette and Single Shadow that Lethal has made except for their first palette and three Charity Shades that I missed due to not coming here. Initially, you had to spend something like €190.00! before you got free shipping. That was going too far, but they've changed all that now.
I've definitely heard of Sydney Grace, yet have never ordered. I honestly own far too much make-up, especially shadows, to look at other brands. You can probably tell how tempted I get. When I find a good brand/product, I'm loyal. There is only so far I will go to spend on an item. I never understood why everyone would go crazy over Tom Ford Quads, in particular, and despite asking many why they pay such prices for what I deem to be rather boring and repetitive colour stories, no-one could really state anything more than 'the quality is nice'! To buy these Quads retail, they are A$156.00 at last check. A L/E Dior Quint sells for A$121.00 and Chanel's latest Rivage Quad A$112.00. It doesn't make sense for TF to cost this much. I managed to buy a TF Quad in Honeymoon for only A$40.00! The owner had gently swatched three shades, although you couldn't even notice and sanitised. Not a bad saving! Despite trying two other Quads from eBay, I still can't work out for the life of me why these are deemed so special and popular. I never except anyone, like Jen, to try anything on my behalf. I will always try for myself.
I tend to like quirky items and Prada's Quads suited me great. I couldn't choose between them, so bought them all. Their Lipsticks are beautiful too. Rabanne is another new brand that peaked my interest and I've almost bought the entire range! It has really shocked me at how make-up has changed from when I started using it.
Just when I thought that there was nothing else of interest on the make-up front, I heard that Isamaya Ffrench is releasing an Industrial Palette No.3! I certainly hopes she takes her time.
      Nice chatting with you, Kris.💖
