Even though this video was 1 minute it really hit me. As I was paying attention to your breath being magnified through the sofar. I was thinking how the sofar was magnifying our breath from the Lord. So beautiful and POWERFUL wow.
Then I thought that's how our prayers go out in the spirit and up all the way to the throne room.
Ahhhh it sounds so peaceful and amazing I cant explain.

I learnt to blow a normal shofar in like 4 days and almost immediately the Yemeni shofar

If I understood correctly, both in trying for myself and now with video:
1) You should not blow strong, but a bit less
2) It has to be airtight
3) Perfectly airtight = you need to put water, i.e. your spit around the hole first on the outside
4) Use your lips in general like blowing a trumpet = vibrating lips
This is the best one I've heard on RUclips good job
try the side of your mouth, think about it in the desert most people's lips are chapped or at the very least quite dry the side of the mouth generally stays more supple

I bought a shofar it's a short one but I was looking on how to use it and really ur supposed to use the corner of your mouth and you do it like you're blowing bubbles on somebody's belly you know how you just blow with it lips together,

Now the mouth piece sups be more on the lower lip than the top lip but tight I hv a harder time changing pitch I'm still working in it but it does take practice. On u tube I found a guy in a sublevel parking garage with a long shofar it was awesome the best Hope u might find it if interested in looking for it ❤

I'm experienced in blowing the shofar. I was taught to tighten the top lip insead. But I tried it on the bottom just now, took a bit of doing to get used to it. I didn't notice a difference the first couple of times. I'm going to keep playing with it to see if I get a different tune. I'd like to play song with out modify a shofar, to like a flute.
So basically like playing a trumpet 😊
I find picking a side to be a bit easier, but I have a different style I use for the shofar, but awesome to see others tootin it!

Excellent! 💦 Sounds very good. If you listen with natural ears you may miss Abba... hear in The Spirit... Now to advance your sounding practice tightening your lips even more ( as a smile with lips together your lips will be stretched thinner and tighter ) You may benefit in using your hand to help make a seal so your hand will keep your lips tight as you vibrate and blow.
You don’t need to blow that’s why it’s taking you so long you need your lips to vibrate don’t just blow because in spit will go through you have to make your lips vibrate don’t force the air through

I have a question; what’s the usual range of a shofar?
Good question and it depends on a lot of factors
1) Kind of shofar
2) location (open field vs trees/houses in the way)
3) how good you can blow
My answer is only theoretically and also I can't really guess. Another thing is: How loud should the other person hear it? (e.g. 40 db for the loudness of normal talk)
A shofar blown by a professional might reach around 80-100 db.
Thus, imagining playing with like 80db on open field (1 meter away) you get 80db.
Every doubling of the distance takes away 6 DB. 2 meters = -6db; 4 meters = -12 ; 8 meters = -18db.
It sounds similar to the sky shofars heard around the world 🙏but angels have bigger lungs🦾🦾🦾🌹🌹🌹
