  • 2019 Kawasaki W800 Review
This is the review of the Retro styled Kawasaki W800 Cafe Racer.
The Kawasaki W800 is a retro-style motorcycle designed to evoke the classic motorcycles of the 1960s and 1970s. Here is a review of the Kawasaki W800 highlighting its key features and characteristics:
    1. Design: The Kawasaki W800 embraces a timeless design with a vintage aesthetic. It features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, wire-spoke wheels, chrome accents, and a classic round headlight. The overall design pays homage to the motorcycles of yesteryears, appealing to riders who appreciate retro styling.
    2. Engine: The W800 is powered by a 773cc, air-cooled, vertical-twin engine. It produces smooth and predictable power delivery, perfect for relaxed cruising and city riding. The engine design is intended to replicate the feel and sound of classic motorcycles, enhancing the nostalgic riding experience.
    3. Performance: While the W800 is not focused on high-performance, it offers sufficient power and torque for everyday riding. It is designed to provide a comfortable and leisurely riding experience rather than aggressive sport riding. The W800 is best suited for riders who prioritize a laid-back and enjoyable ride rather than outright performance.
    4. Handling: The W800 features a traditional double-cradle steel frame, providing stability and predictability in handling. It offers a comfortable and relaxed riding position, making it suitable for longer rides and touring. The suspension is tuned for a plush and compliant ride, prioritizing comfort over sporty handling.
    5. Technology: The Kawasaki W800 maintains a more traditional approach, with minimal electronics and modern features. It typically includes essentials such as an analog instrument cluster with a digital display for basic information like speed and fuel level. The focus of the W800 is on simplicity and the classic riding experience.
    6. Brakes and Safety: The W800 is equipped with adequate braking performance. It usually features a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. While lacking advanced safety features such as ABS, the W800's retro-inspired design promotes a cautious and mindful riding style.
    7. Customization: The W800 is a popular choice among riders who enjoy customizing their motorcycles. It provides a solid foundation for personalization, with various aftermarket accessories and modifications available to further enhance the retro look or tailor the motorcycle to individual preferences.
It's worth noting that the specifications and features of the Kawasaki W800 may vary depending on the specific model year and the market in which it is sold. It is always advisable to consult Kawasaki's official website or authorized dealers for the most up-to-date information and to experience a test ride to fully appreciate the characteristics of the Kawasaki W800.
When Kawasaki build a retro they certainly have alot of style in doing so!

Dress for the slide, not the ride. No gloves? Braver man than I am! Engine sounds good. Good video

One of the best retro bikes available, especially when they got discounts all over. If I didn’t have my CB1100 I would be riding this.

Very good and v. thorough review thank you!. The thumbnails at top right of the screen are nice and the range of different views in the walk round are v. useful. The way it goes in the 30 and 40 mph limits is what matters, as long as it can handle 70 easily too, and it looks better and less boring than T100. I got the RE Trials you reviewed and love it.

Again another really good review..always liked this bike ..it’s looks and sounds really nice..your right about it being up against some serious competition. I love the bevel gear drive the clocks and the brown seat really make it look like an old cafe racer..😀👍

I'm impressed. The W800 looks beautiful and sounds great. I love the shaft driven overhead cam. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the engine apparently shedding heat more efficiently than the chain using competition, but an oil cooler free frame definitely looks better and shaves weight. $10,200 including the destination fee is very reasonable. I would, however, seriously think about paying the dealer a little more to install crash bars.

The stand is NOT awkward to find. Just lift the foot peg with your heel, and you're there.

I just had to subscribe to your channel. It's like watching David Brent, from the office, doing a bike review. That honest, rather amateurish approach and you don't know what's coming next. Keep it up.
