Back in the day a neighborhood friend decided to order a '68 in red/black vinyl top. Handed me the brochure and asked which engine he should order, Hemi was too expensive for him. We agreed on the 440 magnum but he returned from the dealer with the order for a '68 SE 383 base engine.🤢 Dealer refused to take orders for cars with high performance engines because of excessive warranty work. Warranty repairs were a money looser, according to the dealer.😢
