    Not only was he a lyricist, he mastered multi syllabic rhymes, wordplay, freestyle God, and on top of all that he was an undisputed battle rapper. He'd body anyone. Rappers from the underground are unbelievable.

    Honestly I said this before to many debates and if someone asked what musician let alone rapper can you bring back from the dead to continue making art it would be big L no doubt. I think he would've flowed well into transitions on hop hop and just consistently kill it RIP Big L forever.

    Big L is top 10 for me... couple more albums and he probably would have been top 3 for me. If you like this, please check out Eminem's "Infinite." Came out at about the same time (mid-90s) and Em sounded a lot like Big L back then. Totally different thing from him. True oldschool hip hop, and I think you would really enjoy it.

    When he says "Children of the Corn" that was one of his groups, it was him, Mase, Cam'ron, Mcgruff, Bloodshed and I'm missing someone I can't remember. Check some of their songs, audio quality might not be the best on some of the them but check it. That group had Big L, Mase and Cam'ron all made it on their own too. Big L's other group was DITC Diggin in the Crates which was a group of rapper that came together to collaborate which is the rappers he named at the end.
