I used to be in the "oh, the elders" camp. But after caring for my elderly grandma for 15yrs (she's 90 now), my mind has change. Elders can be vile, entitled, uncooperative, purposely deceiving. I have no love left.
To be fair to the son, we dont actually know what kind of a mother she was to him. It's easy to judge without knowing the full story. Abusers are good at "playing theater" and it*s not fair to expect a survivour to take care of the person who hurt them, just because now they need something.
The public call-out is her trying to get other men to white-knight for her and harass/attack her own son (you can see the exact reaction she was looking for in some of the comments on this video), so... clearly, she was a wonderful mother. Very loyal and caring too, I'm sure.🙄
Social isolation is an important risk factor for dementia. It is sad to see elderly people in this country and other countries feeling so isolated. Social media is no real replacement. That Japanese woman's son will be old someday, sooner than he thinks. May his own children treat him the same way.
I think the problem is- and maybe this applies for Japan too, we just work too damn much… I have an office job, but after I get home from work, I don’t feel like doing anything else except watch a show or two. If we had more time to spend with friends and do stuff with friends, then we might be more social and less lonely
In Japan, people work even more. They practically live at their office buildings. There's even a cause of death known as karoshi, which is death from overwork.

Then they find wood, paper, anything flammable out of piles of garbage, and light bonfires...I kid you not 😂 They get blankets from church outreach groups and cover up against storefronts, subways. Theyre not going far from their drug supplier. They are fed free three course meals by church outreach groups drop offs, and are eating better than YOU are 🙂. They eat some or none at all, and toss it on the sidewalk.
The Japanese seemed to have stumbled onto a missing public service. These elderly people want to live and work for room, board & community. Create self sustain facilities to cater to the need. Working retirement communities, where they do their minimum labor, they can age in place, and have other abled-bodied seniors work in the assisted living/hospice section coupled with other perks, rather than prison confinement. They can be a net benefit to society, rather than a net expense. Japan already has a worker crisis on it's hands. Give the elderly, who want it, a job, a purpose and a community.
Man, we don't just have elderly people doing this but we have all ages of adults doing this here in the United States. Mainly for a bed to sleep on and a meal. And I'm sure some do it from loneliness

The US is so much more chaotic that stuff like this would never get to the top of the newsfeed. The opioid crisis is related to this, but people in the US can only cover it from a materialist perspective, because it's a much more materialist country than Japan (which is less materialist than China in certain ways, and not in others). This really is like a first world problems thing (not saying it isn't serious), while the US has third world problems now and is halfway to becoming Brazil. Multiculturalism and total demographic replacement accelerates all these problems exponentially and expands them into all sorts of other dimensions and axes, when people who formally had a sense of community at least from their country and/or ethnic group in some abstract sense, instead in a very concrete sense have zero trust or sense of kinship with their own ethnic group, let alone others (the others are the reason they don't trust or have any community with their own culture or group anymore, because they were the ones who let them in, sort of like if your spouse just lets a bunch of hobos start living in your house without the consent of you or your kids, that will affect your marriage).

I know whats to come and i learnt a lot from chase get the light that most people will not use based off the light bulbs it needs less problems with returns then
Roundup whosever heart you gave me really seems to hate autumn so i am guessing joes heart he seemed to care 0 about her being trapped in america but he said bikdip and joel both felt that way but i got a feeling joel and bikdip never want anybody trapped they dont care to take the time to untrap though
I dont know why joe hated her so much but from what it felt like her thinking she knows stuff that she knows 0 about he seems to hate a lot and to me i find it funny and shows shes stoopid and got a lot to learn
I know i am unable to stop your plans with her but i got a feeling i somehow slowed down her coming to america either by thinning your powers or other maybe somebody else hep maybe its because you wasted your time making lucky a male cat for sometime dont really know any slow down i am happy with
Shame on everyone who doesn't take care elderly. That includes all of you that throw your elderly in homes so it doesn't affect your life. You are horrible people!
Agreed
Honest question, you actually care take for a person with dementia while raising your own kids and managing a career? Just curious.
@Larreatridentata-t5i one vehicle, smaller home, day trips and zero expensive vacations, buying second hand, dinners in not out. There are many ways to save money. Maybe try a money management course. Are people important or things? You can always have grand excuses, horrible selfish people normally do
This truly is sad af
Govt officials been killers
Maybe talk about the fact that a lot of men today live with their mothers in women would rather sleep with a guy that already has a girlfriend than somebody that doesn't
I could tell this would be an Ana segment from the anti-materialist title even though she's not in the thumbnail. ✊🏻
