Has the stain been used before? Or was it the first time of using a newly purchased silver stain? I've overfired silver stain loads of times and had that kind of dark slick happen, but its always actually stained the glass even if you can really see through it. So I'm thinking maybe the "stain" is in fact an orange/brown enamel that has been packaged wrongly? Just a theory, but it's so strange that it didn't even stain the glass. 🤔🤷♂️ xxx

Actually I think that probably is the answer! It's happened to me in the past and is so confusing!

Didn't try on float. A mystery....
Silver Stain mixed with water or vinegar will always be risky, so I wonder if that was the problem on this occasion? Change to Glycol 👍
