I'm curious if you didn't read the notes for the series but apparently Japan still never got a proper release of the third season of Prime which effectively makes Go! another alternate continuity. Also the fact that the Japanese version of Prime's Darkest Hour was altered so that the Autobot Base was never actually destroyed.
That's still one of the most confusing decisions they ever made

I laughed like crazy when I got to know the English community got that dub.
Cuz I can watch the chinese sub/dub and due to the similarity between the two language, it is much easier.

Back when I made my Top Ten Transformers Intros list, I did research on these shows due to the fact that the openings were really catchy or action packed, and I was feeling like I wanted more transformers in my life. Honestly it's sad to hear that Transformers go is incredibly simple and repetitive, but I have my eyes set on Masterforce. I love the concept.

Apparently there was some kind of uproar in the Japanese TF fanbase back when the series first came out. Something about it producing a wrong, horrible image of their part of the fanbase.
That being said: remember, Prime was mostly handled by Polygon, a Japanese studio.

Star saber is me boi. Headmasters is ultra weird. Diamond bolt is hilarious.
Something I noticed with the Transformers anime's is that unlike the American Transformer series which depending on the era they were produced in could vary in tone. All of the anime, even Go! to an extent had a specific structure built into it. While for example Rescue bots is little more than ATM machine that will go on as long as it sells. The anime's have a two part system a setup in the first half. And a payoff in the second half. All of the anime had this system in place.
Star Saber is indeed a great character. But his incarnation in the IDW G1 continuity was outright wicked, he was a religious zealot who proposed an 'atheist holocaust' , and outright violent psycopath who impaled Dai Atlas all while saying "Primus hates you".
Victory was freaking awesome, and I'm glad an earlier mention of it on your channel got me to go looking into it.
I may be weird, but I kinda like overblown stock animations for transformations and combinations (transformers, Brave, Power Rangers, Voltron, whatever). It makes me feel all amped, and I can't explain it.

I saw Japan in the title. I came as quick as I could.
They actually didn’t ignore the movie. Sense the movie wasn’t released in Japan until 1989 they explained the events of the movie in a magazine to fill the gap between season 2 and 3.

IDW Star Saber is nothing like Victory Star Saber and honestly I'm a bit mad at Jro for deciding to go with the characterization him and his fanfic writing circle created back in his teen years because apparently they didn't like the anime continuations instead of actually using his real personality.

The u.s. never dub Transformers Headmasters, what you're looking at is actual the Chinese English dub
but it's more commonly referred to as (starTV dub)
They should give it an english dub though. It would be pretty cool to see an offical not crap version of these shows
maybe if the series gets some kind of anniversary, they might go through the effort to dub it.

I enjoyed watching it in Japanese with the English subtitles. You get the emotion from the voices and no distorted meaning or screwed up names.
yes there was a group of fan that attempted to make a fandub, but at this point we don't really know if they're still working on it

This is why when I watch them, if they have subtitles, I do subtitles. Was stoked to finally be able to see all 3 Japanese series when Shout Factory got the rights to bring them to the US. Have seen a few episode of Beast Wars Second and Beast Wars Neo on RUclips. I hope someone can get the rights and release them in the US. I have all the sets of G1 and Beast Wars/Machines. Also was lucky to find a dvd with Scramble City and Zone on it. It would be great if I could add the Japanese series of Beast Wars to them.

That's because in Victory's earlier development stages, it was supposed to be created by the same studio that made Gundam, but got switched to make the Brave series. Hence why Star Saber looks a lot like a gundam.

Headmasters doesn't really ignore the movie. I'm pretty sure there was a magazine in Japan that explained the movie plot to explain what happened between seasons 2 and 3. Headmasters kinda just abridges it down to "Optimus and Megatron died now Rodimus and Galavtron are the leaders, okay guys?" In fairness, the movie's release was delayed in Japan, so it was probably expected while the 1st Headmasters episode was being written that audiences would've seen the movie before Headmasters aired. Takara were also smart enough to explain away any inconsistencies between the Japanese shows and the movie through later media (mostly Binaltech).
Oh, and Karyuudo Fansubs are subbing BW Neo and are aiming to release it before the end of the year.

Diamond, you have clearly never heard of the glorious Omni Productions before. They're a china based company that dubs everything for presumably very cheap. They also don't do research. They also did the 90s/early 2000s Godzilla movies.
Also, Victory gave life to the Brave Series, and that is amazing. Star Saber is my absolute favorite TF toy of all time.

Yes, dub is usually terrible compared to sub. But there are rare cases of where the dub is just as good as sub, some examples I can give are Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, Tri-gun, Panty & Stocking, Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann, and My Hero academy, but those are just the few. But the even rarer cases where the dub is even better than the sub and where I think the show needs to be watched it in are anime like DBZ, Cowboy Bebop, Tri-Gun, And Panty & Stocking. Those anime where I think they NEED to be watched in dub, especially Cowboy Be-Bop and Panty Stocking, those shows are best watched in English, it feels right.

Honestly, Headmasters was a lot more bearable in the Spanish dub. I saw it when I was living in Mexico in 1995 and caught Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory, all in Spanish.
