It probably was chosen bc dogs dig bones, and Chili is. airport security, referring to how dogs sometimes have jobs where they sniff out things in bags
This show hits so hard because it's equally about parenthood and childhood. It's not a kids show sneaking the occasional unsafe joke in. It's a proper family show in the purest sense.
As far as I'm aware the kids are played by real life kids of around the same age, hence the realistically childish but also sometimes mumbled line delivery or mispronunciation. But it is super cute.
Little does Mathew know this kids show dives into deep topics like death and infertility and children with disabilities like being deaf or having adhd.
@@timefliesaway999 tbh death and infertility are deep topics. as for children with disabilities, yeah, it should definitely be more normalized, but the sad fact is that it kinda isn't rn
In this episode, we learn that Mathew's mind has been broken by all the previous reactions so much he's forgotten that normal kids have a silly imagination and play pretend
A running gag in Australia is that whenever a polic car comes by, you ask the nearest person what they have done. Most dads start this gag so teens and kids start doing it with their friends
im not australian, and i dont have children, but ive watched all of bluey cause it just relaxes me to my core. its one of those things i can just put on, turn my brain and anxieties off, and decompress. unless its a episode with a lot of muffin in it, that child stresses me out. just the episode Facey Talk, just do that one alone and you'll understand why muffin is chaos incarnate
Some of those scenes can really be understood only with context. I hope you get to react more scenes of Bluey or perhaps even an entire episode. Trust me, that show is really some of the best things TV has ever created. It is a show that helps children learn many things and also helps and reasures the parents that watch it.
I love how matthew is thinking of all these different reasons to what they are doing when in reality the kids are just using their imaginations and playing around with eachother
I stumbled onto Bluey by weird twists of fate. I don't have kiddos but I hang out with a few now and I am completely taken with this show! Didn't expect the ugly cry. ❤
We started watching Bluey with my younger siblings and its honestly just such a fun a sweet show, you can tell how much the people working on this care about it. Plus, its enjoyable for kids and parents *and it actually teaches them things*
Another show that might surprise you out of context is The Ghost and Molly McGee. Even in context, the jokes in that show can be bizarre, like when an elderly man straight up dies (don’t worry, he gets better).
What a way to learn I'm not as good with accents as I thought. Did not realize until now that he was Australian, I thought he was British before this... I am embarrassed...
Mathew’s capacity for wholesomeness has dropped to the point that asking him to watch full bluey episodes is like asking him to set himself on fire using the candles on a birthday cake
A few of the scenes are just them playing games. 8:11 Bob is the name for a puppet who shows up in the episode "Bob Bilby". 10:02 That was a yoga ball. 10:34 They were pretending to be at the clinic. Bingo is the doctor and one of Bluey's friends had been bitten by a crocodile(?), hence the crocodile flying off in the background. 11:22 Bluey's dad, Bandit, pretending to be a claw machine. 12:35 Them pretending to be a cat owner buying cat food from a store. 14:24 Bluey and Bingo pretending to be grannies. Greta and Janet are probably real characters at this point, from the amount of times they've appeared.
I am a total pushover, to an alarming degree and due to this I’ve found myself babysitting for free. Mainly people would pull “hey wanna come over and hang out” then they would run out the door whenever I got there and it was always toddlers and it’s 3 or more of them, and longest one lasted a week, I was babysitting for a week straight. I was left there for the entire week alone with three toddlers. I didn’t have any clothes other then what I was wearing but this show was always my savior. When I had to cook or clean automatically put this on and they were completely fixed to the tv and it’s the only reason I made it out alive that week. Another time it was a kids birthday party and there were 12 toddlers all 4 years old and under, how does anyone handle that many snot nosed gremlins? Turn this show on, it never failed me and I had never heard of it before and my appreciation for this show is so large I believe I owe it my life or my first born child.
My niece is 5 and obsessed with this show. I decided to watch a bit just so I know the basics, like character names. Now I’m obsessed with the show too.
Ever heard of the band, Custard? The lead singer, David McCormack, is Bluey and Bingo's dad, Bandit Heeler. And now almost all the Bluey fans are saying that Bandit used to be in a band before he met Chilli, the mom.

Just curious, how does an Australian have trouble understanding an Australian accent? Anyway, I believe that it is physically impossible to dislike this show. It's much more than just a kid's show. Bandit is, without a doubt, the best dad you'll ever find. In fact, he was actually voted Dad of the Year in 2019. I love how he completely engages with his daughters and their games, even if they put him in such awkward situations. It's just so freaking wholesome and adorable! And really, almost every character is great and fun.
My daughter and I have watched almost every episode of Bluey. Not together, we don't live together. That's because she's 26 and I'm 50. Bluey is awesome for all ages.
I was actually thinking about the first time I watched bluey (it was with my nieces last December, was visiting my sister), and I see this in my recommendations. Heh, ironic timing. On a different note, you must watch the show. It's wonderful.
Bluey, muffin, and bingo were doing a wedding of horses a fake wedding. The reason why they did this is because they didnt want socks to chew on Polly anymore

I love this show!!! 😊 I'm 36 and I sit down and watch it by myself sometimes in the mornings after I get back home from my night at work and before I go to sleep for the day. It's so wholesome and relaxing. 😊

Also, joke being that he’s a dog, so he likes to dig up bones.
Also also, Chili works in airport security. Another canine joke
