Thanks for this, as a current physio student, it’s always helpful to hear from those that have qualified and are working Your role sounds interesting, could you do a vlog about that maybe? Especially those not doing the traditional route of Rotations so thank you for sharing. I’ve liked and subscribed so looking forward to watching more of your Physio career content 😄
Thanks for your comment dude! I absolutely could. Day in the life. Would be best on a Friday as I work both NHS and Private. What year are you in? How are you finding it so far.
@@daniellowebusiness nice one, yeah a day in the life vid would be good! I’m on the degree apprenticeship so it is incredibly busy, juggling work, family life and uni! Overall it’s great tho, I’m so pleased to be doing this and can’t wait to be qualified but I’m only 4 months into the course so only about 2.5 yrs to go! 😂
Very true, I’m so pleased to have the opportunity and learning so much already! Yeah I’m happy to share my experiences. So far, it’s good but there’s a lot more self directed learning than I expected. Saying that tho, I have a lot of support from the uni, my mentor (and other colleagues at work) and my family. Learning that effective time management is vital - I could go on forever just digressing lol just ask me what you want to know
The masters is only hard because it’s short and there’s a lot of work to do in 2 years. The transition is easy if you go straight forward it because the academic skills are what’s really important
@@ZachAscot I would say the main thing stopping me was confidence and knowledge of how to run a business. This was something I learned a lot about from working at someone else’s practice.
@@daniellowebusiness thanks. I've seen that you can do a science access course that is the equivalent of A levels and is accepted by universities for a physio degree
Thank you for the good video, I worked as a physical therapist in Korea for 2 years. I'm preparing for a master's degree in physical therapy in the UK. I'm thinking about advanced clinical practice msc course, is there any disadvantage compared to pre-registration?
Hi bud, did you have any issues regarding tattoos through your physio degree journey? I took an access to HE course to get onto a physio degree programme but I am concerned my tattoos could become an issue within the NHS. (Two full sleeves and hands, nothing offensive) any advice greatly received.
Are physios actually in demand? I can’t see that many jobs available on NHS website right now in ( Manchester area) , I really wanna study in physiotherapy but I’m worried that there won’t be enough jobs
Hey, thanks for the question. I’ve never struggled to get a job and there’s usually lots available. Best place to look is on NHS TRAC. Usually when graduation comes around in July/August time, there’s loads of jobs because most of the physios that were band 5’s move onto Band 6. This normally leaves lots of Band 5 roles available. I certainly think there is still a large demand for physios both NHS and private
Definitely if you want to work privately because it covers your insurance. If you’re working NHS only, it might be worth it if you’re using it for learning materials 👌🏼
If we want to work as a volunteer physiotherapist in any organisation do we need CSP registration?is it mandatory? or if we r just registered with hcpc can we work as volunteer physiotherapist? Plz reply me
CSP registration will give you insurance to work privately. It’s not a legal requirement BUT I strongly recommend it to cover yourself legally, you never know what might happen. HCPC is all you technically need
Thanks for the video...I'm a Physiotherapy degree holder but not from the UK,I'm from Nigeria and I really want to work in the UK as a physiotherapist, how do I go about that?
I did maths, sport, biology, btec applied science, music, and music technology. I did 3 years at uni, I’d probably recommend biology and sport, otherwise it doesn’t really matter too much.
I am a student of physiotherapy in Bangladesh. My future plan is to go to UK. And can you please give me advise about the procedure of register here ? (As an international student) And how can i apply job As an international student And what are the required IELTS scores
Thanks for the video, I currently have a Bsc sport and exercise rehab degree and want to do a masters in physio so I’m less restricted but want to work in a private clinic/ do msk physio in the NHS. However I feel like I may not enjoy the physio masters degree as much due to the inpatient physio side and so I don’t know if I should do it or not. Any help would be really appreciated.
I would probably say yes do it. It’s only 2 years and in fact the inpatient physio stuff is only 1 or 2 placements which last around 5-7 weeks. I did a degree in sport and exercise science and don’t regret physio at all. And it opened up a lot of earning potential over s&c coaching which I was already doing!

Hi I’m at uni and approaching the 3 year in sport and exercise science, was wondering how the transition is to physio and how hard the masters is

By private do you mean you're working in someone else's private practice or you have your own private practice?
At the time of this video I worked at someone else’s practice. I now own my own practice 👍🏼
@@daniellowebusiness thanks! Once qualified was there anything stopping you starting your own practice?

Never had any issues with tattoos for getting jobs or studying, people generally take to them well!
I will also mention, I work with children and it’s never been a concern

I’m not fully sure of the procedure unfortunately. Have a look here: www.csp.org.uk/careers-jobs/working-uk/visa-requirements-support-schemes
I did a degree in public health, is that going to be considered
