    I am so sorry that your residency is ending in such a strange note. My daughter graduates from medical school on Friday. She will be sitting in front of a computer on FaceTime Live getting her degree. We are all very sad for her, and she will be moving across the U.S. and starting her residency at Stanford at such a strange time. Best of luck to you in New York. Stay safe and congratulations!

    My hubby just graduated dental school last week and it was super weird. No celebration with family or friends... just a weird virtual video and small special home-cooked meal with me and the pup! The dental college is hoping to host a special celebration this summer if things settle down with COVID. Congratulations Dr. Cellini! You should be so proud of your accomplishment!

    Congratulations!!! I'm so proud of you, and all the Senior residents, anyone getting their doctorates, and so on! I'm sure a lot of your mentors are subscribed to your channel, so I'm sure they heard you just now say "THANK YOU!!!" :) My oldest "Virtual HS Graduation" is on Friday! Definitely NOT the way we ever seen her HS Graduation, but no matter what, it's a big accomplishment! No matter if it's from HS, BS, MS, or Doctorate, or whatever someone is getting their degree in! You sure have a tough, but it is also a field that is always a learning career! That's why I loved the medical field, until I got diagnosed with 10+ Autoimmune Disorders. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!!! :)

    I’m with you in a similar (much smaller, lol) boat on this being an anticlimactic graduation. I graduate nursing school in June and it’s already bittersweet. We had no celebration for Nurses Week and no recognition from our instructors on Student Nurses Day on Friday. I know it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things but it’s been a bummer, to put it simply. Enjoy your last few days on your rotation, doc! Time has flown and you should be so proud of yourself, as I’m sure you are. One chapter ends for another to begin! Can’t wait to see what happens next for you.

    • @pebble1181
      @pebble1181 4 года назад +2

      Riskyy It’s possible. You need to be able to study at least 5 hours a day (usually more), oh and tip, watch lectures at 2x speed. If you aren’t used to it, start low at 1.2, move up until your brain can adapt to 2x or more. It’s just more efficient, trust me.
      During clinicals (some schools like Harvard start it in the 2nd year), you won’t get the most sleep. You wont reach 0 sleep for 7 days, but you might reach 0-5 hours over 24-48 hours, maybe even longer. It’s not impossible, but it takes dedication. If you’re passionate about medicine and have the drive, it’ll be hard as hell, but you’ll get through it in the end.
      You do get breaks, enjoy the breaks but don’t slack too hard on your studies. If you’re burnt out just enjoy it, you won’t learn much burnt out.
