    It was good talking to ya at UCC! Thanks for useing your truck for all 3 events! It's not always about winning though its what we all want but it's about the experience! Sounds like you had a great time and the truck is still running! Thanks for making the videos for us spectators!

    Said it before, you stuck to your guns and used your truck for all the events. Props to you and you finished on top of some of the other guys who used just one truck. Before too long itll be one team with 3 trucks. Wish they would make a ucc event with 3 events 1 truck competition. It's just like king of the streets competition to that plus all truck challenge. Josh definitely sends props out to you as well.

    I agree and don't like the 2 trucks. I haven't read through all of the comments so maybe it has been said but what are thoughts on giving the 1 truck competitors a points handicap to give some insensitive to put the work into making your truck do all 3 events. Either way Tom I see it as a huge accomplishment to place where you did! Hope to see you do even better next year!

    I agree with you Tom on the two truck set up also it makes it harder financially for the teams that don’t have big sponsors and deep pockets and things like that nothing against people who do but anyway oh and also I think it takes more skill to run only one truck so anyways this is six in a row jim From Kennerdell Pennsylvania

    I watch every year on the live stream as I'm in the UK 🇬🇧
    I prefer the 1 truck rule. The effort from making a drag truck into a competitive sled pull truck is awsome. Was a shame not seeing that anymore

  • @jaybirdls1
    @jaybirdls1 2 года назад

    Keep in mind, drag cars lift the drivers side tire when launching. If the same forces are at work in your truck with the open front differential, then the drivers side should be the one with less traction. I suspect the front axle is fine. That passenger tire gave a couple digs near the end. I would want to see you add a locker though for sure if you are going to use it for more sled pulls.

    Congratulations and serious hat-tip to you and your team. You crushed it. Absent the various "mishaps", imagine how well you would have placed; in one-truck mode! One truck - three events is absolutely better aligned with the original spirit of UCC. And arguably, the single most important factor that made UCC such a success in a span of just s few years. A success, not only for the promoters, but all the participants showcasing what can be done with one truck. A starting point is to go back to one-truck format, and perhaps modify the sled-pull trim requirements/specs (weight & a few other) a bit less onerous so it is actually feasible for small-team participants to transition the truck overnight. UCC could also split the participants in two groups, or arguably the most simple method, award a generous sled-pull distance bonus to one-truck pullers like Stephan mentioned in his comment.

    The two-truck challenge I think really hurts this event. It makes dyno day better, but it takes away from you winning because you brought in a pro for 1/3 of the event. If you let two trucks in, you may as well do three trucks. It doesn't help the budget people get in because you now need to find someone with another big budget build that wasn't bought by another team to come help you competitively. The money people will just spend more and push the spread between the bottom and top farther. As a spectator who goes to UCC regularly this really hurt the event. If anyone knows a way to email UCC opinions, I would appreciate it. To me it should go back to one truck. If they want a multiple truck challenge, then they need two divisions. One for those who need to show up to the next event and one for their pro-mod, dyno truck, and sled pull truck to do a full send without fear of tomorrow. I agree with Tom that I don't mean anything negative to the competitors following the rules this rant is for the rule makers.

    • @bigmurph1447
      @bigmurph1447 2 года назад

      only reason they did the whole 2 truck event was because guys can't keep there engines together on the dyno. which is total bullshit. that's the whole point of the event 1 guy for all 3 events

    • @TurbaTom
      @TurbaTom  2 года назад +1

      Big Murph I disagree. The 2 truck thing was to try to attract more competitors. There are a ton of fast trucks out there that have zero interest in pulling. The question is what is the right move for the competitors and the spectators. This is the super bowl of diesel and collectively we need to figure out how to make it amazing for everyone!

    • @bigmurph1447
      @bigmurph1447 2 года назад

      @@TurbaTom well they if they piss people off which they did the event will be nothing. Because it's unfair to the guys like you who use one truck. That's the whole perpose of the event to see who's top dog and can build a truck to last the whole event.

    IMHO, two trucks goes against everything UCC was built around. Why not let the ones that have the funds and the backing just build 3 purpose built trucks and then have one class for the OG’s?

    • @TurbaTom

  • @BadGoat92
    @BadGoat92 2 года назад +1

    I understand why they are now letting people use 2 trucks, but not using the same truck for all 3 kinda defeats the purpose of the event I think. Not really an ‘ultimate challenge’ if your truck doesn’t cover all the bases

  • @mraycgz
    @mraycgz 2 года назад

    The multiple truck thing was DUMB. People didn’t build two trucks for UCC. They ran their own trucks in the drags and then shot the moon on the dyno and then had hired guns come in and pull the sled for free points. If they do multiple trucks in the future you should get double the points for using the same truck as in the last two events.

  • @chevyon37s
    @chevyon37s 2 года назад

    I’m so disappointed in the rule change allowing a separate sled pull truck for the event. A real cop out for the guys who did that. Smart move or not, it’s not in the spirt if the event.
    Or at least have a separate class for the people who run multiple trucks from the guys running a single truck.
