Wow, her fingers are half their grownup size, but she makes beautiful music with them! Alexandra, you are my favourite pianist! Greetings from Canada!

No piano competitions for this young lady. She is already the head of the jury.

Marvellous Mozart played with great sensitivity by this born genius pianist. yes, she can go very far. She looks like she loves to play, that music is her life and is so much herself, nothing of "I am a child prodigy", just very natural.

I played this concerto with my university orchestra some 23 years ago now. I dare say I played it well... I was 18 or 19 years old at the time. I dare say she plays it better at 9 than I did at 19.
This girl may turn into the woman that Martha Argerich is. One of the greatest performers of our time. I will watch her progress with great interest.
ps. Yes this is "only" a Mozart concerto and not a chopin, brahms, or tchaikovsky, but don't be fooled into thinking this is an easy piece. There are some tricky passages that take some real skill to get right.
Yes, she plays it a bit fast and yes there are some mistakes but wow this is an amazing performance.
    She's 9.....just crazy.

67 years ago I taught myself to play Beethoven "Pathetique" Sonata during summer vacation. My fingers cannot go that fast anymore, on that long run down. One day, I hope to hear you. God bless you.

She has played it again with Spivakov - ruclips.net/video/ZlZShqHVfE0/видео.html - The whole concerto in fact; the last movement is I think a fraction slower and sounds even better (ignoring some off-camera clanks!)

This is a circus of fingerwork, primarily. Freakish: they get younger and more pyrotechnical, leaving the music sitting in the train station after the express they are has sped out of the station. Just because someone can play fast does not mean they should all the time. Their teachers ought to know better and not let them play indulge their technicality.

„Just because people can play fast does not mean they should all the time“... what’s „all the time“?
This is Mozart. People who work on history of music 🎶 wrote lots of books about Mozart... from what we know, young Mozart also played his allegros at a crazy tempo, that was new and unheard of at that time. And it sounds fantastic, by the way. I‘m sure that Mozart wanted this to be played really fast. Besides, Russian music teachers are among the best in the world and highly respected for their sophisticated teaching. Watch their piano lessons, Mira Marchenko is a great example. She spends a lot of time just talking about the piece, to teach the musical understanding.
Your comment is just another stereotype bla bla about child prodigies.

Grigory Sokolov has quite different opinion. But what can this old fool understand, right? The fact that he is one of the greatest pianists in history is of no importance.
