This plugin is great. it reacts really different to different source material. It sounds great on a wide range of instruments acoustic, samples, and synths.
No different from other saturation plugins. Check what you already have. Melda MSaturator (free) will do the same. Or dirt cheap IK-Multimedia Saturator X.
Muito boa sua aula, estou aprendendo usar saturação e acho esse plugin muito mais não conseguia chegar no som que eu buscava, mais sua explicação me ajudou muito obrigado, inscrição confirmada com sucesso abraço fica com Deus 🙏🎸
Prefer Fabfilters Saturn2 but have to accept x-saturator is a nice clean simple GUI. Would it not be great if a modern amp had this built in to emulate tape/valve harmonics and make those awful sounding digital sources sound more analogue, natural and warm. But wait, you could add a audio interface to your signal chain and do this on your computer making your inexpensive amp sound like a really expensive one with some simple tweaking. You can even add it to JRiver media player, you dont even need to use a DAW and make all those horrible digital files come alive and sound lush and wonderful just like a vinyl record does
This is very in depth but you should have used this on a sine wave for one minute and the rest of the video on real instruments. It’s fun to look at the harmonics but this is merely a lab test, not an indication of how it will be used or sound in an actual song.
Thank you for your comment but, as I said in the video, this is a sine wave test. That's the video I set out to make. There may, also as I said in the video, be a vocal and instrument version in future. DM
wow what a crisp and well lit portrait image. That is some production value right there. Thanks for the product demo!

So with the Harmonics knob, there is always odd order harmonics no matter what?
In my tests, the odd-order harmonics are always present. DM
Can you demonstrate this with an actual preamp or a channel strip hardware?
Thank you! :D
