Ladies for your tipsy pots I place soaked spagnum moss onto each flower pot covering the soil around the plants. This helps hold the soil in & keeps them from drying out.as fast. I have been doing tipsy pots for several years & I also have hanging tipsy pots. We pound re bar 2 ft into the ground for ours & stack them 6 pots high.
I really enjoyed this idea and am going to try it. QUESTION: Can you do herbs and succulents in the same manner. I am not sure which ones are in the same water/sun family. With succulents and herbs especially MINTS it seems like a like like family. How did you determine the families. I don't think this tape was too long some people take 1/2 hour to say 5 minutes of information. SUGGESTION: try watering with plastic water bottles that you put holes in for slow drip and if you freeze the water bottles it would probably take all evening for them to water, I really enjoyed this tape and will try it. Please advise for the like families.
Nice concept. Wobbles during rolling it about, so we stack our pots level, putting a 4" pot inverted between each plant-pot. No spills. Thanks for the vid.
I am glad they showed it this way, personally. I live in an apartment, and while I have a small patio, I do not have any earth that I can use for planting, so I would need to utilize this method.
made this and stacked them right in the garden. I used a steel rebarb and pushed it through the bottom pot and then about 4-5 inches into the soil. Trust me, this does not wobble. I get lots of compliments.
I am new to gardening and would love to make this potted tower. However, what kind of flowers and plants should I put? I do not know what plants would be small enough to grow in pots like this. What flowers and plants are the best to use for this potted tower?
great idea, i have a question... does the bottom pot have any rocks or cement to hold the pole in place?, i havent tried it, but it seems to me that it is too much weight to be able to stay in palce, thanks
I can't go into your website. I hope you're up again soon. So I need to know how long is the pole? Is that steel and is it bolted or cementer at the bottom or free standing???
I have tried to do this and i used 2 different kinds of sticks, wood and metal and it does not work. They tilt over and fall How do you keep it from doing this?
Yes. In fact, I got a notice the domain may be for sale. There was a search option at the bottom, so I typed in "tipsy pot" and saw some different offers.
O w1puld lole to know how o1t11 tilt that far when the holes are not that big. Wish had watch start not with plants in them all videos I see dont show the bottom of pots:(
you SHOULD have put the pots together with dirt first, THEN plant them. as many times as I have seen this done I have never seen anyone set the pots on the plants.

You could always stick the rebar directly into the ground a foot or so going through the base pot, then add the tips pots on top. Should work fine.

I actually made the stand using a metal rod and used some of my weights out of my dumbell set. Worked great. Thanks for the idea.

oh wow , that might be just the solution I was wondering about for my little super sprouting strawberry plant! it will look gorgeous!
I love this! This will be perfect for my small apartment patio!
Very cool ladies! I'm going to try that with my cucumber plants this year! God Bless! :)
wouldnt have been smarter to put your plants in last.. Am i the only one that heard the leaves ripping off?? that said it is a really cute look.
aslong as all the leaves are not ripped the plant will only grow stronger, form some nice knuckles and be more robust (atleast in my experience). :D
Very beautiful ❤️

How tall is the pole?
Nicely done and creative.
Thank you for your nice joyful gardening~
I am thinking of planting strawberries like this.
Susie Fairchild Lott ;
Thank you for the video!
What kind of pole did you use? How is it secured? Are there rocks in the bottoms of the other planter?
I love this! Thank you for making this video!
Good idea. Doesn't the soil wash out of the pots during a heavy rain?

I really want to try this :)

I really like this idea, thanks!
Very nice
So pretty!
bravo ! grate project ! thanks for sharing the knowledge ,
I’d clean my pots. And like some others said, anchor it in the ground with a longer rebar.
Cool idea!!!!
I absolutely love this idea! Does anyone else think of Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass?
Way cute idea!
Cool. I'm going to try it.
Great video!! Thank you!! :)
Good idea!
Very cute
great idea, i have a question... does the bottom pot have any rocks or cement to hold the pole in place?, i havent tried it, but it seems to me that it is too much weight to be able to stay in palce, thanks
Easy if you're handy, get yourself a rebar and round metal plate. Weld the rebar to the plate and insert the pot fill it up and you're good to go 😃
I can't go into your website. I hope you're up again soon. So I need to know how long is the pole? Is that steel and is it bolted or cementer at the bottom or free standing???
awesome very creative.
Love it!!
nice video!!!
Thanks I should do this with my strawberries.
Apparently they are not in a windy area. I expect mine would blow over out here in Tracy, CA.
How do you prevent water or soil from dripping out from pots?
Bellissima idea !
How long is the rod you used?
look nice
The website you put up did not work. Do you have a link to this product? Thanks
Cool!
Do these hold up to heavy winds?
MAGNIFICO! OBRIGADA, PELA IDEIA!
couldn’t find the website!!
thanks Jill :D xoxo
Thank you.
Super criativo!
cuanto tiempo duran esas plantas vivas en esa position????
Can't get to your site, any suggestions?
I love it :-)
I have tried to do this and i used 2 different kinds of sticks, wood and metal and it does not work. They tilt over and fall How do you keep it from doing this?
What is the length of your tipsy pot pole?
thanks
A better idea would be to put a sun flower clip or some kind of ornament to make it look more pleasing, that too pot looks out of place
Oops the top exposed pole is what I am talking about
where can I get the metal stand to do this? I've tried goint on your website but it won't let me :(
Didn't get your email to ask about weight for it
Is your website still operating?
I'm not getting your website to come up.
ls it one hole down the. bottom or two
AMEI!!!
Worried this may fall over with a strong gust of wind or break from to much movement
You left out the most important step. You didn't show the mounting of the support rod and you never said what it was made of.
its a piece of rebar
Is ver y good
Muito bom
bravoooooooo

Yes. In fact, I got a notice the domain may be for sale. There was a search option at the bottom, so I typed in "tipsy pot" and saw some different offers.
Lol easier said than done....i just spent an hour doing this and GAVE UP....LOL
poor plants, some got crushed :(
How sturdy is it? I live in California and earthquakes come and go, would this stay up or is it easy to tip over?
Video starts around 2:39

you SHOULD have put the pots together with dirt first, THEN plant them. as many times as I have seen this done I have never seen anyone set the pots on the plants.
i call it a stick
a suggestion: please place your video camera on a steady tripod as this is a very uncomfortable way to view.
I am so sure that you will find good way to make it on woodprix.
I didn't finish the video because of lengthy intro..hahaha
