Be prepared, you need to concentrate on points, I remember that bit @24:00 it's the hardest bit on days when the rock is slippery, few people me included were flapping a bit when trying to scramble and water running down over hands and feet

Great vid guys! You have captured the essence of that route. Absolutely loved the confusion you had on the last bit of the scramble.... everyone feels as you did. Asking others for guidance isn't weak, it's the most sensible when the adrenaline is flowing and you're really tired. The summit is a bit of an anticlimax.... just steps, after you have mountaineered your way up 300 metres of rubble! ........... If you do the route again, instead of returning the way you have ascended, I would urge you to go down the South Ridge.... fantastically airy, but perfectly safe. Good video in terms of that it showed the state of the path where it steepens after the col. But its not a difficult or very long route. Im 60 and i can get to the top in around 2hrs 15 minutes. If the weather isn't great u need to be careful with navigation when u first get onto the ridge. I also wouldn't recommend descending this route.
@TravelGxng u should have done the circular route that the guy on the video suggested. I've did the watkin path about 5 times last year and I always did the circular route. Try it next time.

It's not the 2nd highest mountain in the UK, it's only the 43rd on the Marilyn list, nice video which shows the actual path much better than most videos, it is a beautiful route but I think most beautiful has to be Crib Goch as it's simply breath taking, in more ways than one!
