Investing in quality stocks and letting investments grow (Compounding) is definitely the way to go but in my experience of investing (since 11 years), knowing when to enter and exit the stock at the right moment is the key to adding wealth. Now some people will argue that investing in an xyz company and forgetting for years will magically make them rich but then, since market never goes in one direction and the fact that any windfall shall wind up the investments in one shot(& a later recovery can take considerable amount of time), It's important to keep targets(& stop- losses) and exiting/re-entering appropriately and not blindly putting your hard earned money in blind faith.. So do your home work, learn and speak to financial advisor... Happy Investing!

My point is 1) investing one stock for 10 years, 2) churning portfolio with taking 10-15% profit in 1-2 months and investing the total amount in another stock for similar returns and this continue for 10 years. Out of this, which strategy is correct and more rewarding?
I'm also confused with same question. I take 15 % profit per month after selling my portfolio each month.. But sometimes stock keeps going up and up after I sell with 15 to 20 % profit eg tata steel, Asian paint
In short term you pay more tax to govt around 15%+ brokerage+ DP charges etc. In long term you pay 10% tax and nil brokerage and DP charges compare to returns.

I just learned about compound interest, and I want to know if I understood it right: You buy a stock, and then you just keep it. And over time, you will just earn interest on your interest. Is that correct? You have to do nothing else than to just buy a stock and wait. Because in the videos I watched, compounding was explained as re-investing your interest, which implies that you have to take an action to re-invest it. But really, all you have to do is just not take the gained interest out, right? Because I mean, if you buy a stock at 100$ and it grows to 110$ and you sell the stock at 110$ just to buy it again at 110$ dollars (as to re-invest your money) you'd be at the same place as if you had just never sold the stock at 110$. Am I correct in my assumptions? Please explain it to me, because I'm confused. In order to receive compound interest, all I have to do is buy a stock once and then wait, and the compound interest will accumulate automatically, without me having to do anything for it. Is this correct? Thank you for your answer!
For example if u buy a share worth 100$ and after 2 years it grows to 140 And u don't sell it keep holding and it slowly grows from there for ex at a cagr of 20% Your 100$ will worth 248$ after 5 years

If any company has earned good profit over the years however its stock price doesn't increase in the ratio that company is earning, then how the compounding in stocks will play a role? ... I understood that company shares profit in the form of dividend but those companies who reinvest the same for expansion, it is not necessary that respective stock price will go up.
