Big fan of your content! Love the $20 sneaker collection series and Sit or Sell. Been subbed for a while now and gotta say I appreciate all the hard work.
eBay started the whole sneaker reselling game tbh, before GOAT, Stock X or any other site or app you wanna name, eBay has always been there when it came to finding anything you wanted but couldn’t find elsewhere, especially hard to find sneakers. I’m surprised it took them this long to set up an authentication service considering how many fakes have been sold on eBay for years now.
i personally have used goat for a lot of my sneakers, solely for the purpose of buying used shoes at a lower price without risking the authenticity of them. i think it’s a great aspect of the app that sets it apart from the others
I totally agree with what you said, I personally use StockX just to check the market price of a sneaker. For Goat, I usually go on to see the used market price, and eBay (my personal favorite) is where I would buy my pairs most of the time because I can communicate with the buyer and potentially work out a deal.
I’ve only bought/sold on stockx and ebay, because I saw that the base price was always higher on goat. Didn’t realize the final price was actually pretty comparable. Definitely going to consider goat as another viable option now!
Very sad that the everyday consumer has to go through these third party vendors to grab sneakers they want. Resellers are running rampant these days. Nothing admirable about finding ways to cheat people out of money.
Easily one of the top shoetubers out there, no cringe moments, always to the point and in depth reviews/discussions. Definitely became a big fan this year. Keep up the solid vids✊🏼
Seth, with regards to the GOAT order coming from the UK: it’s not about buyer’s location as it is the seller’s. It just so happens that the pair you bought at the time was by someone selling them from the UK. That’s something that can happen with any of the others as well. When it’s in those foreign countries, the length of time necessary will depend on how they handle things over there. I’ve had packages from China through StockX take more than two weeks. Side note: when they make it to the US, sometimes Customs can hold packages as well. A great video as always! This was a fun check-in with the places to see how they were doing.
If it hasn’t been done already, I’m looking forward to a breakdown of selling sneakers on all three of these platforms in 2022. I’m curious to see how eBay’s fees have impacted what you’re doing in the $20 sneaker series.
I’ve only ever used eBay and that was for selling. From the feedback off the buyer from sending the sneaker for authentication to end delivery took 4 days. Not got around to buying from anywhere just yet. Keep up the great work Seth.
Goat is my favorite, but eBay is quickly rising up through the ranks. I usually try to buy shoes directly from Nike, but it's funny how in this experiment it ended up being the lowest quality-wise and shipping-wise. Anyways, keep up the great work! I became a fan of yours because you weren't always going for the "hype" shoes and showing us some other brands like New Balance and other Adidas shoes
In my experience, eBay's customer service has been the most helpful with resolving issues as a seller and a buyer, which is my biggest factor in deciding which platform to use.
100 percent. I know I'm all over this comment section pumping up ebay, but its just because I've had better experiences in every aspect of their program. Buying, selling, customer service. They've been fantastic. I had a pair get lost in transit and I had a refund in my bank account the same day
Yup. StockX has the worst customer service ever. eBay has always been the best at it, and ever since they started authenticating they solidified themselves as the best platform for buying sneakers.
YES! I ordered some Sean Cliver dunks and a month and a half went by and nothing, Ebay refunded me then a week later they showed up on my doorstep. It came with a card saying that they are sorry and to keep the shoes and refund. I also ordered some Travis 1 lows and a month went by and nothing, so I got a refund, and that was that... I thought the same thing was going to happen lol... wishful thinking.
Goat is definitely one of the absolute best sites to get some dunks from. I recently bought the dunk low pro wheat mochas for 230 at goat while they were 280 on stock x. On top of this, I received my shoes in under 5 days, pretty good stuff. (Pandas are pretty cool)
I’ve been buying my Jordan 4 golf shoes from eBay this past year and been very happy with them. The fees are minimal, if any. StockX is just so heavy on fees both ways, it’s the app I use the least for shoes now.
Hey Seth, I've just recently got into sneakers because of you, and so far I've gotten the MX oats and air force wheat supremes, and if I win the pair I would be so excited as someone new to the group. I've been watching your content for about a year now, and I love your custom series like the 20$ collection and waking up to see that you've posted
Haven’t tried GOAT or eBay yet but I’ve bought 3 pairs and sold one on StockX in the last year or so. Agree with Seth, I use it as the indicator of market price for a shoe and, with that info, it’s helpful to know when you’re getting a deal or if prices are a bit high. I will say it took longer for them to ship shoes than he experienced but authentication was usually same day
Give ebay a shot. I buy exclusively on ebay now, and have never waited more than 10 days to receive my shoes, and have received them in as little as 5. They always authenticate same day they receive, as long as it's a week day and not 5 pm when they get them
I love how eBay has risen up the ranks. I’ve always relied on them. Most of my sneakers come from there. I like the factor that you have direct contact to negotiate. StockX and GOAT have high fees for international buyers… but are also reliable.
Also Ebay is the best, great prices, pictures of everything, and its so good being able to negotiate directly with the seller to work out a better deal
It's significant to note that StockX's "processing fee" description says that the fee is for the authentication as well. Meanwhile, Ebay and GOAT don't charge for authentication.
Great video. Using the platforms differs from country to country, some will charge import duty fees which I found StockX includes it in the final price where as GOAT does not include and I end up paying additional fees once I receive the shoes. Also the time for international shipping is different as mentioned so there’s that. But overall nice review
I was reluctant about Ebay but so far my last few purchases have been great and actually came ahead of schedule after authentication. I still use Stock X just to get a read on the current market trends for a particular product. Still waiting for the Dunk Lows to go down on price.
I have the best experience buying from eBay. The other platforms charge too many fees and usually take a lot longer to ship. eBay in the past wasn't that great but they made a lot of changes over the past couple of years to make them my favorite place to buy sneakers
@@imlocolucas as Seth mentioned that eBay has an authenticity check on select shoes. Ones that I purchased over the past couple of months all checked out. You also have to think to yourself if a brand new shoe that usually lists more than $200 is selling for less than $100 there's an issue. If it's too good to be true it's usually too good to be true
I would love to see a video comparing the three different sites from a sellers perspective! Would definitely help for small resellers like myself to try and maximise profits
Awesome to see an update on this Video , I remember watching the first stock X vs ebay Vs goat a while ago and that’s actually how i found your channel , Love the sneaker collection series as well Seth
I’ve used all platforms, and personally had the best experience with stockX becuase I live in Canada, so the import taxes are included on the final price of the shoe, as opposed to goat which charges me unexpectedly. Either wait they are both really good platforms and will continue to use them for buying my sneakers. I was just going to buy a pair of black and white dunks in the near future but I’ll wait just a little bit longer until the giveaway ends just in case
I’ve used all three of these with GOAT being the most recent. I was shocked at how long it took for the shoes to arrive compared to eBay and Stockx. Anyways, I love your videos and keep it up!!
Even though GOAT is growing, I'd say the quality of their authenticators have gone down, cuz on several orders I've received damaged boxes or shoes with defects, and if a buyer wants a refund they take some of it out for return shipping even though it was their fault for letting the shoe pass in the first place.
I ordered a pair of A Ma Maniere Jordan 1s and StockX sent me a email stating the box was damaged before they shipped it.They asked if I wanted them still or if I wanted a refund. I woulda figured GOAT woulda done the same, sucks to hear.
@@S3c7io81 that’s awesome on stockX’s part. I don’t like that they have a no return policy though, that’s probably why they take the extra steps before they ship out.
Definitely a great informative video from a buyer and seller point of view. This has definitely opened my eyes to help me make a decision on which platform I will be using more of. Thank you!
Funny enough there have been times where I've "broken down" enough to buy a pair of shoes off of goat or stockx only to get to the fees and shipping page and decide it's not worth it.
Same I will see a pair on StockX for like $20 over retail and say I can live with that then get to taxes fees and shipping and get turned off my the price and change my mind
I gotta say eBay is definitely the best imo. Best prices and pretty fast shipping although I was surprised Seth got it in 3 days it’s more like a week in my experience. GOAT takes forever and StockX has crazy high fees. Although StockX bid function is really great since you can pay what you want
I only got maybe 4 pairs on eBay usually got them in 4 days. StockX and goat usually 7-10 but sometimes 2 weeks. Once goat took close to a month. Think it came from overseas and took forever and the same night I ordered those on goat I ordered a pair on eBay which came in 4 days
Ebay killing it for me in the UK right now. I'm picking up so much heat on there, with prices a good notch below StockX. Authentication and shipping from the authenticator is so quick too, cleared and then in hand usually the next day. EBay sometimes do random promo codes which knocks an extra 5-10% off, definitely my favourite platform to cop on.

Thanks for the comparison video! I’ve used EBay, Stock X and GOAT and prefer EBay, but had good experiences with all of them.
These videos are always informative and interesting. Keep it up bro
Loving the content, all the way from Sweden. The 20$ dollar serie is my favourite thing to watch at the moment on youtube!🙏🏼🤩
Interesting to see this comparison vid once again, staying hopeful for the giveaway!

Very nice comparison mate! Keep going with your videos!
Thank you for the information! I felt there isn’t a huge difference in each.
I wish if you could post something about how you storage your sneakers and a good way to wash or take care of them.
That's a great way to compare platforms. Love this idea. Keep it up.
I personally received a pair of AJ1 Highs with Korean tags from StockX, so I guess the exact pair I secured was from there. Awesome video Seth, cheers!
Love this video.... found it very useful for purchasing sneaker in the future.
