    Great review, man! The custom sung intro and outro "thank you" were the perfect touch. Seriously considering picking one of these up now...

      Thanks a ton Greg! I appreciate the compliment. I’m gonna play out with it for the first time tonight. Certainly sounded great at home. I think it’s a for sure buy if u r in the market

      @@mattvae8348 I agree! I wish they could update the firmware for the VoicePlay series to match this one

    Hey thanks for the info Brent! I’m actually waiting for mine to arrive in the mail! Question for ya: I’m also going to use a pre-amp/eq/effects pedal. Something like the Trex Soulmate Acoustic, the Fishman Tone DEQ, or the Boss AD10. (I’ve been using the TC Helicon Play Acoustic, but I want to have a separate/better quality pedal with more control for my guitar).
    My question is, should I plug into the Harmony Singer first, or after the pre-amp? I believe it should go first so that the harmony pedal receives the cleanest guitar signal first, without any effects applied, so it can create the harmonies most accurately. Whatcha think? Thanks so much!

      Awesome John! I like that you are delving deep into the tone. I would saying pure first, but maybe try the other way too. It’s always worth testing just in case it’s better.

      @@brentbrownmusic Thanks Brent! After trying all those preamps, I actually decided on the Radial Tonebone PZ Pre. Clean and simple. I don't need any other effects right now. First I want to get my essential sound as solid as possible. The TRex Soulmate is wonderful too, but again I don't need all the extra effects.

    so im a mediocre\poor singer at best (children cry when I sing and i disrupt the flight patterns of birds. )- and looking to correct a bit and add some chorus and harmonies...and was considering a blend of mic mechanic, harmony singer and corrector by flamma... what would you recommend as a set up for a challenged singer to make it presentable and have backing vocal etc?

    I think I'll try to get one. It seems less robotic sounding than say the boss VE 500

    I understand that the harmonies stay in tune with the guitar but what about your voice, does it do any kind of auto tune to keep your voice in tune with the guitar?

    • @brentbrownmusic
      @brentbrownmusic  24 дня назад

      It doesn’t, but it does added some nice adaptive EQ, compression, de-ess, and de-noise.

    I just bought this pedal and I play with an RC - 600 and I can’t get it to work ): I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with my Chain signal.

      @@brentbrownmusic I figured it out! The pedal although 9v needs a higher amperage. So I have it plugged into my 250MA outputs on my dc power brick.
      Newer to pedals and building my pedal board. How the hell is someone suppose to know what amperage a certain pedal needs?!?!

      What do you mean? There isn’t a display if that’s what you’re asking. It just reads the chords being fed into it.

    That was fascinating! So you sing a note and the machine harmonizes your voice to several notes? You are amazing with the sound machine and looping and all that ha ha So is it really you singing? jk i have heard so many of these "pop" stars today use a lot of auto tuning. Idk i like raw and real :)

    • @brentbrownmusic
      @brentbrownmusic  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks man! I only use it for 1 light 3rd harmony over my voice in sections I can’t loop.
      It doesn’t auto tune (aka change my singing in anyway), but it makes the microphone sound better. I also like the reverb on it. A small swish army knife of a vocal pedal.
      I appreciate u watching even my gear vids Rich!🙏
