Stuart Ainsworth could absolutely have his own show...going about the countryside explaining what's what, and what's still visible...and village councils and landowners could invite him onto their land to point out explain anomalies in the landscape...it would be fascinating.
I think if it were my home, instead of putting all that dirt back on to The Keep corner, I would make into sort of a small quite area with a bench. Penny was wonderful about all this.
Plz do a documentary on Highgate cemetery. Saw lots of videos but not satisfactory. Would appreciate a complete documentary on dark bright and hidden stuff regarding the cemetery please.
?QUESTION? What happens after you guys find PROOF? You only have a few days, though we see that you do marvelous work. BUT WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU'VE FOUND SOME GORGEOUS PALACE, BUT TIME IS UP? You can't just leave a hole, gorgeous windows/jewelry or architecture? Youve got to go get it!! Do YOU continue? Does the Queen/King take over? Does the family step in?
They record their findings, cover it back up, and hand the site back over to the owners or the local archeological group to handle. It's up the owner of the site to decide if they want to shell out for a full archeological dig or if it's English Heritage or a local county archeological group they put it on the list of future prospects.
Also, i understand the purpose of the show was to encourage communities to have an interest in archeology. Therefore they would make each show an initial understanding of the archeology of an area but not be too academic for communities to understand
Penny really made this episode a notch higher than most. Her enthusiasm and infectious laugh was wonderful to see.
the new owner is awesome. You can really see her interest and love for history! Contagious laugh too!
Yet again, one of their best episodes, and yet again it is already freely available on the Time Team RUclips channel and has been for years.
Absolutely fascinating, thank you. I loved how involved the owner got. So excited. I would be as well. Thank you all 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
Agree Penny was fabulous and so excited to see her research proven and so lucky to work with Phil Harding I would live to do that too

It's amazing just how well preserve it all was.
What a wonderful story. Thank you!

So did Penny have the whole keep unearthed? I thing it would make a lovely patio.
That's what I was thinking. Be a shame to cover it back
This is just so cool.

Im thinking Phil and John were a bit smitten with Ms. Penny
Why do they only ever have three days?
Because they work other jobs. Most are professors during the week.
@@bettyir4302wow, like real life Indiana Jones

One of my favorites! ❤
I wonder how much Penny paid for her home.
In a hundred years archaeologists will have some laser machine that shows everything underground. No need for digging.
first aired 12 February 2006
Well there was a 1670 survey you didnt believe? Lol
Full frontal nudity? Never in this part of Esher.
Weird question but why couldn't they dig under the tree?
The owner asked them not to.
FIRST
