- This Microsoft Teams tutorial will demonstrate how to turn off out of office in Microsoft Teams. Specifically, this tutorial will demonstrate how to turn off out of office notification in ms teams. The out of office status in Microsoft Teams is synchronized with Microsoft Outlook such that when it is enabled and disabled in one place, it will also apply in the other. This tutorial will demonstrate how to turn on out of office in Microsoft Outlook and then will also demonstrate that it turns on out of office in Microsoft Teams. Then, the tutorial will show you how to remove the out of office from teams and will also demonstrate how to disable teams out of office if you already did so in Microsoft Outlook.

Thank you, for some reason when turning the automatic replies off from teams I was still in out of office state but it worked when turning the automatic replies from outlook.

You're very welcome! The out of office synchronization between Teams and Outlook is buggy. I've noticed issue where turning it off in one place doesn't always do so in the other.

There's an issue with Teams that the Out of Office simply gets stuck there, regardless of the Outlook settings. Nothing will make it go away. I've read some post from Microsoft that you'll need to clear the cache of Teams, but I didn't try that. Let them think I'm out of office :-D
Yes I've experienced this issue myself and clearing the cache on the Teams app always does the trick. It is a bit frustrating to have to do this though to resolve a bug. Hopefully it's fixed soon!
It's not a lag rather an annoying bug on MS side.

Even after disabling automatic replies in both teams and outlook, my status is still getting displayed as Available, Out of Office
This is a glitch that sometimes happens. I'd suggest clearing Teams cache and then restarting.
Can it be done in just outlook?
Unfortunately you cannot just set out of office in one app. They are synchronized and will reflect in each other app. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

@@LuiIacobellis I, for example, am looking for an option that will allow me to have Out Of Office set up in Outlook, but avaliable status in Teams. Is something like this possible?
@@michaelmolnar2141 To the best of my knowledge there is no way to disable sync between Outlook and Teams in this regard.
