This brings back my memories from early 2000's when I visited the cathedral as a kid and was astonished by the apocalyptic sculptures. I believed those sculptures were created hundreds of years ago but now I got some background info from your explanations. Thanks for the video!
I once lived in this neighborhood in the 70s. I learned things from this video that I never knew before. Mt. Sinai Hospital was called St. Luke's back then. I didn't know that the name changed. I live in Montreal now.
Thank you for this video. Brought me back 1987 New Years Eve Leonard Bernstein conducting and Odetta singing. AIDS was such a tragic reality in NYC and Saint John The Divine did some beautiful humanitarian peace concerts . Sad and beautful. Thank.you
My understanding is that the Church of Scotland is Presbyterian. The Scottish Episcopal Church is part of the Anglican Communion. Several clans became Anglican for largely intra-political reasons. The most prominent of these was the Campbells.
May the Heavens shower it’s Blessings upon You and My Ministry, Catholic Ministry Online and for whom all that have requested their prayers from me. For Ukraine 🇺🇦 and all other Nations filled with famine, war, pestilence and natural disasters. Amen 🙏🕊✝️🕊🛐🕊🙏
Correction: a 401 foot tower would be impressive but nowhere even near the tallest church ever. Since 1890, that honor has gone to Ulm Minster at 530 ft. Lincoln Cathedral held title of world's tallest structure outright - besting the Great Pyramid - at (roughly) 525 ft from 1311 to 1548, when the spire toppled during a great storm. From 1548 to the late 1800s, Strasbourg Cathedral held the title for world's tallest church at 466 ft. When finished, Barcelona's Sagrada Familia is expected to claim the title, topping 560 ft.
You have provided a clear example of the statement: "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." You really don't know what you're talking about, and your excessive mistaken statements about church history and architecture are a garbled regurgitation of misleading and incorrect facts. After 10 minutes I was so annoyed I stopped watching.
ooops forgot to explicity mention why! It's because they ran out of money due to the expensive construction method of just using stone (as opposed to steel, wood, or glass)

I had an English teacher in America who used to attend the episcopal church
