I was surprised that so many people were interested in the ressurection of the online part of this game! It definitely made for an interesting experience!
The Campaign on this game was better than most COD games and recent BF games too. The teleporting into different soldiers was revolutionary at the time
Absolutely! I had a great time playing. I’m going to start a community play date each month where we vote on online games so we can get together and play, this will be one of them!

Even though it doesn't sound like the game was the best, sounds like it was a fun experience. Hope to be able to jump on a game with you guys on day when things align :D I have played a loooot of RE Outbreak 1 & 2 online before, that game is great co-op. The fact that we are able to keep all these games alive though warms my heart :)

Would love to get into this, but sadly I think my intel processor prevents me from accessing online via emulator. I have no way to hook any of my game consoles up to Ethernet right now so despite having a PS2 Slim, I need to emulate to experience online. Tried it before with Gran Turismo 4’s online community, doesn’t work. Intel processors also prevent Xemu from running correctly entirely so it doesn’t surprise me. I hope to join in the fun when I upgrade to a newer Mac
Honestly yeah. I’m glad there are still those with the passion who want to help bring the lost games back. I was so excited when they got to officially bring back City of Heroes and Villains back recently. So many didn’t get to experience it, and now they can! I do hope the rest of the restoration projects can continue to completion so we can enjoy more ps2 games online!
I bet it was lte_fuckt that was spawn killing yall with the chopper, i remember him back in the day doing that. No hate, i thought it was cool because i sucked in the helicopter.
To be honest I’m not sure, although I suspect it can. As long as it’s moddable (you can look up version numbers) and you either own the game or dump it and burn a disk
@@SmokeUp420 I know some of the members of the server use a console and the original game so it should be fine. I would look up a video on bf2 modern combat online and see if someone has a setup for an original console
@PS2orDie someone on another video said he's using a slim console to play and just to make sure I have a NTSC version of the disk and all I should have to do is change the DNS settings

Hit symbol but not a hit in reality: This is something that the PS2 is calculating and shows as a hit, but the PS2 is out of sync with the server. This means the server can tell the PS2 that it wasn't a hit and refuse to register damage to that player. 2. About spawn camping: We definitely hear you on this. We hear this often in the community and are working in the background on a solution. We have some ideas on how to solve this and hope to present this feature to the community in the next few weeks.

I was on an Army high and bought this and Full Spectrum Warrior the same day. Ps2 carried me through those years for sure
