You could just check out BTS IDOL explained by a Korean if you're lost cause this mv is deeper than you might think at first glance. This is BTS kind of showing how extra K-pop mv's can be while hitting back at people who say they're becoming westernized. It's like them saying they're proud of their Korean culture and will continue to be themselves. Real. Yeah thanks.
This MV is a huge middle finger. 😂 The guys deliberately crammed every negative comment and stereotype about kpop into one video. Kpop songs are too vibrant and colorful? Okay, they used every single color in the MV they could think of. Jhope too childish? He wears Bugs Bunny. Suga's skin is too white! There you go, Snow White on his cloths. During one of his live talks RM was told not to use the filters, hence the snapchat filters on him. Same with V's glasses. Too Americanized? They dance in hanbok, tradicional Korean clothing in tradicional Korean buildings to African beat... Full of Korean elements like the Moon Rabbit, the Lion dance... And so on and so on. Every single picture and scene is there for a reason. 😁

I love your honest oppentions. Like you said there is a lot going on in the video. One reason is because they have a lot of Korean metaphors. They also pic fun at a lot of the negative things people have said about them. Like when Jimi with the fan. People say that he's not masculine enough or other things so he added that in there. One other one is when Jhope is dancing with that blow up man, people have compared him to that because he is always dancing. Personally when i first heard the song, it was not my favorite either. One of my favorite songs from is For You. It's a beautiful song that just took my breath away. If you do watch you there is the dance version and the "story" version both are great, but if you want to see their dance check out the dance version first

The Snow White shirt Suga had was because people tell him he looks to pale and sleepy all the time. V walking through a crowd of people mimicking what it's like for him when he's recognized in public. The dozens of copies of their faces referencing people saying there's too many of them or that they all look the same. Even the title, saying that this is what Idol life is like. But it's also an empowering song, people can't stop them from loving themselves. They don't care about titles anymore, or the hate that comes their way.

I think what's great about your reactions is that, even if you don't like something or just don't vibe with it, you are respectful to whoever you're listening to. Dizz, for example, was concentrating so hard. I really appreciate the respect you give to the person/people you watch because artists and musicians are throwing their hearts to the public so the least we can do is listen with an open mind. What I like about BTS is that there's so much variety in their music. I, personally, loved this song (but can't say the same thing for, say, DNA). Almost all my favorite BTS songs, however, are the non-title tracks. Outro: Tear, Young Forever, Tomorrow, House of Cards, 134340, Sea, Ma City, Magic Shop, the list goes on.... The title tracks are to catch your attention and give you a feel for the overall theme, but a lot of the heart is found by listening to the in-between tracks. They're truly artists that think about the entire album which is rare in pop music nowadays. Just listen through Love Yourself: Answer, and you'll see the entire progression of the journey a young man/woman goes through learning to love. Not only that, but just like how classic rock artists (among others) used to do, they extend a single theme/idea over multiple albums. When so much about music has changed to streaming or "albums" with one or two good pieces padded with generic songs, it's nice to have aritsts like BTS devote themselves to this kind of risky practice. It shows that above all, music is what is most important to them, not quick sales. Final note to Monroe: Once you JimIN, you can't JimOUT.

It's a celebration song to love yourself . It's basically the end of the chapter for love yourself series. This is one of my favorite songs and when your watching this in concert like I did it's a blast to dance too
I get what you are saying about it being a lot. It was a lot for me too, and honestly took me a couple listens to like the song. However, there is a lot of Korean cultural references and touching on what people think being an idol is and the stereotypes that go along with being an idol. Also, the lyrics also follow their message of loving oneself. However, whether you guys do a reaction to it or not, I would recommend listening to the B side tracks on their albums. RM even said in a recent live stream that the title track isn't always his favorite or people's favorite sonically. And that the title track is made with the performance in mind. So he was saying, and in my opinion too, that the B-sides shows their true colors even more and is more of music a person would just listen too. Anyways, I like your guys reaction and the way you guys aren't afraid to say if you don't like something but are still able to acknowledge and appreciate! Much Love💜

But I've had to read listen to it many times because I'm a fan and I ended up here in about osmosis and I like it. But it is a very different sound from what they normally make. I think what's great about your reactions is that, even if you don't like something or just don't vibe with it, you are respectful to whoever you're listening to. Dizz, for example, was concentrating so hard. I really appreciate the respect you give to the person/people you watch because artists and musicians are throwing their hearts to the public so the least we can do is listen with an open mind.
What I like about BTS is that there's so much variety in their music. I, personally, loved this song (but can't say the same thing for, say, DNA). Almost all my favorite BTS songs, however, are the non-title tracks. Outro: Tear, Young Forever, Tomorrow, House of Cards, 134340, Sea, Ma City, Magic Shop, the list goes on.... The title tracks are to catch your attention and give you a feel for the overall theme, but a lot of the heart is found by listening to the in-between tracks.
They're truly artists that think about the entire album which is rare in pop music nowadays. Just listen through Love Yourself: Answer, and you'll see the entire progression of the journey a young man/woman goes through learning to love. Not only that, but just like how classic rock artists (among others) used to do, they extend a single theme/idea over multiple albums. When so much about music has changed to streaming or "albums" with one or two good pieces padded with generic songs, it's nice to have aritsts like BTS devote themselves to this kind of risky practice. It shows that above all, music is what is most important to them, not quick sales.

I get what you are saying about it being a lot. It was a lot for me too, and honestly took me a couple listens to like the song. However, there is a lot of Korean cultural references and touching on what people think being an idol is and the stereotypes that go along with being an idol. Also, the lyrics also follow their message of loving oneself. However, whether you guys do a reaction to it or not, I would recommend listening to the B side tracks on their albums. RM even said in a recent live stream that the title track isn't always his favorite or people's favorite sonically. And that the title track is made with the performance in mind. So he was saying, and in my opinion too, that the B-sides shows their true colors even more and is more of music a person would just listen too. Anyways, I like your guys reaction and the way you guys aren't afraid to say if you don't like something but are still able to acknowledge and appreciate! Much Love💜

Yeah that totally understand because I did not like the song either when I first heard it. Not at all and I was angry! But I've had to read listen to it many times because I'm a fan and I ended up here in about osmosis and I like it. But it is a very different sound from what they normally make.
