I recently picked up these headphones and love the sound, the bass and being wired with the music & podcast on bluetooth. This has become my favorite headset in my collection.
Hi I bought them for my brother but when he uses them to play video games and listen to music they give out a weird „shhhhh“ sound. Did u have the same issue or do u have a solution
ive gone thru nearly every brand headset between $80 to $150 and got these beand new 2nd hand. Did some research and their was mixed answers online, so i took stab and got them anyway. Im super happy with the build, comfort. And the sound in 7.1 gaming or 2 channel music, they exceeded , my expectations. super happy with them
After 2 days of use, I can safely say that I’ve had absolutely ZERO issues with the mic and not one complaint either. I’m almost wondering if Techne just got a bummed pair sent to him? Other than that, these headphones are great. Comfort is top notch. Sound is AMAZING. Bluetooth is a must have. Not one issue with the mic. I will definitely keep these.
Crazy that the Bluetooth test sounded the best of all 3 lol! I’m digging the headset though! I own a lot of headsets/IEM’s and this reminds me of my Stealth 700v2’s.
The removable mic is the #1 good thing about these IMO. I don't like most gaming headsets because of the non-detachable mics. I just use a standalone mic. I'm hoping that they continue this trend, supposing they have dedicated wireless 2.4ghz or a wired only version, I'll actually pick up an EPOS headset.
I really like this headset. Comfy for long playing, great sound and I like the hybrid feature. The hybrid is great for listening to music or podcast while playing. If just wanting to play without music, you can play with them turned off. With EPOS shutting down making gaming headsets, I picked up a 2nd set of H3 Hybrid headset. Out of all my headsets, this is in the Top 3 to use.
I have the normal h3 and with time it got more comfortable and the sound and mic is amazing with loads of detail and bass (paired with creative omnisound 5.1).. and i also have the sennheiser gsp 370 and the software is horrendous.. lately it doesn't open at all (tried uninstall repair ) and nothing is working... if they drop their prices a little bit as you said they're better than the most of the competition

Epos H3 is so good, my favorite headphones. It's even better than most audiophile hseet like Sennheiser HD600, Neumann NDH 20, Bayerdynamic DT 1990 Pro and so on and so on.... now I use only Epos H3 and Sennheiser ei 100 Pro which is also great in ear, and Sennheiser CX 100 for extra mobility. You dont really need anything else.

The Corsair HS70 might be the most uncomfortable headset I’ve ever used and I sent them back after a week. I ordered these a few days ago because because I need Bluetooth and the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2’s have issues with connecting to IOS and couldn’t get my hands on the Arctis 9’s so I’m hoping these will be the ones. 🤞🏽
@@madubt - I did everything possible and it won’t connect to IOS. They have no problems connecting to Android, but forget about it with anything Apple I own.

Hey man, Good stuff! Have you seen the H6Pro? They just get released by Epos. I've been holding off buying the Astro A50 due to a lot of users having issues. I want good sound and surround sound. Heard going the DAC and Headset is the way to go. Or am I better wireless for My PC and Xbox? I have earbuds for my phone so I'd use my headphones purely for gaming and any work on my PC.
@@GamesWizard I tested both on the PC with the Soundblaster Z sound card. Both sound really very good, the closed one has more bass and is about 10% louder, the ear cushions are comfortable and you can hardly hear anything from the outside, but after a while it gets warm in the ears. The open ones have less but enough bass, but sound a little flatter overall, but also a little finer and clearer. The ear pads may not seem as soft as the others at first, but they are also comfortable and the ears stay cooler even after long periods of play. You can also hear the outside world, which is useful when the doorbell rings, for example I also like the microphone, I tested it with my other headset (Cooler Master MH751) and the microphone from the Epic H6 sounds almost identical, for me even a tad better. You can't say which is better. If you don't want to hear anything from the outside and want a lot of bass, you should use the closed ones, the open ones are much cooler on the ears and you can hear the environment, sound finer. Each has advantages and disadvantages. I decided on the open version! They also look a little cooler: D It's a really good headset, the price may be a little too high.
More info on the bluetooth would be nice. It's using 5.2 standard, but can I game with low latency on a windows pc with it? I want to use it as a bluetooth headset for PC but cannot find any info regarding latency.
I really REALLY want a great mic and a great sound without the surround sound making it terrible. Like have an off or on button to the surround sound that makes it if you turned off the surround sound it well be a great stereo sound is it that hard to make?
I have dongle for this headseat i want to use it with bluetooth on my pc but the sound is so freaking bad even when using a dongle that supports 5.1 bluetooth. Like i had the Virtuoso before if i connect that it is way better there is no diffirence between sound quallity. Why it can be good wireless i am returning them i think and by another corsair one.

I think this is a situation where a lesser known brand (even though they pretty much are the parent company of sennheiser at this point) are judged a bit more harshly than other brands. If this was a Razer or Logitech headset, it would be a top seller and be hyped as hell.
The Hyper X Cloud Mix is wired at $200 and I’ve watched a couple other reviews on this EPOS and this is the first I’ve heard about the mic having issues.

Just tried these with the PS5 with Tempest on during Spiderman Remastered (3.5 connection), and the sound was tinny and slightly muffled. Huge difference from my Arctis 7's connected via USB. Is there a setting I'm missing or something that should be changed?

This headset is not what it seems. It has some serious flaws in my view. This is a wired headset, not wireless. The wireless connection is sub-standard in audio quality and meant mostly for phone conversation use, not so much for music/multimedia. It connects via Bluetooth but using a lower quality codec (SBC) so your bluetooth audio is never going to be that good (and that's the only wireless connection you'll really get because it doesn't have a usb dongle so the only way to play high quality audio is to have it plugged in wired, either 3.5mm jack or usb. And, it will drain battery while connected via 3.5mm jack, which leaves, as the only proper alternative for listening to these canse, (without draining battery) via USB so you're basically stuck with a 200$ wired USB headset. For that money you might as well get the standard EPOS H3 for 100$ and you'll probably get the same sound quality, or you can get the EPOS H6 Pro for 200$ and not only will you be able to hear a better quality audio, you can also listen through your 3.5mm jack without draining batteries. To think I almost spent my money on this on a rushed decision... You might as well spend 100$ on the epos H3 and another hundred on a wired set of cans for your mobile. At least you'll be able to hear tunes with a proper sound while on the go. A cheaper alternative to the EPOS Adapt 660 is the Sennheiser PXC 550 II, which you can pick up for about 200$. It's still better rated than the GSP 670 (which has sublime sound) so that will tell you something about their sound quality which is even better, and it can be used outdoors with your phone. There is a much cheaper headset, the Sennheiser PXC 550 II, which practically identical to the Adapt 660 (same manufacturers), has almost all the same features and sound quality, but with the main difference that it doesn't have a USB dongle (so it'll be complicated if you're planning to use it on a locked work PC) and has a few connectivity features but it's much cheaper. It has the same sound quality as the Adapt 660 and equally high quality standard 5.0 Bluetooth wireless sound quality for music/multimedia featuring the most important codecs. This latter one is high quality wireless at a budget. Too bad I need a USB dongle...

Did you read the part where I mention the fact that the Bluetooth on this set is basically handicapped and not up to scratch for anything other than talking (not acceptable for audio or multimedia) due to the low-performance codec it's limited to? And I'm not as sure as you are that what you are saying is what people see on this headset. It's not what I saw. I think it's what You see on this headset, and you extrapolated it from your point of view to everyone else's. I mean, that's not how it's even being sold. It's being marketed as a headset for all devices, including PC but it's pretty underwhelming regardless of what you pitch it as, especially for the price. The first thing people assume when they see this headset (including me) is that it has a USB dongle. It's a reasonable assumption since pretty much all headsets with any wireless capability have a USB dongle, for wireless PC use, which as you know, doesn't happen with this model, which is an exception to this rule (negatively speaking). Another assumption people will definitely make (and which you clearly did) is that the Bluetooh on this device is actually acceptable for music/multimedia... And what is the point of walking around outside with a headset that size if you're only going to use it for talking? I mean if the only special thing on these is their ability to be used by Xbox, then they're not so special.

The h3 here is £89 on Amazon and as low as £65 on ebay where as the h6pro are £150 and pc 38x is £175 on amazon. I did have the Xbox wireless headset, loved the wireless and Bluetooth hut hated the sound quality. Currently using some a40s gen2 but don't like the sound of them

Weird you had problems with 700’s. I’ve had mine since launch and as long as the firmware is good they pair with my iPhone no issues.

Sound also cut off when playing valorant. When alot of sound is happening, sound turns off more frequently and rarely does it get staticy

I bought this headset and I was not impressed at all. Returned it right away. Not worth the price. Plenty of headsets way much better for the price.
Even my old Sennheiser GSP 300 which the EPOS H3 was based on has better sounding mic than this one. EPOS fcked up my beloved headset.

@@StickyGeko I don't think you read what I wrote, otherwise you wouldn't be giving me this answer. Did you read the part where I mention the fact that the Bluetooth on this set is basically handicapped and not up to scratch for anything other than talking (not acceptable for audio or multimedia) due to the low-performance codec it's limited to? And I'm not as sure as you are that what you are saying is what people see on this headset. It's not what I saw. I think it's what You see on this headset, and you extrapolated it from your point of view to everyone else's. I mean, that's not how it's even being sold. It's being marketed as a headset for all devices, including PC but it's pretty underwhelming regardless of what you pitch it as, especially for the price. The first thing people assume when they see this headset (including me) is that it has a USB dongle. It's a reasonable assumption since pretty much all headsets with any wireless capability have a USB dongle, for wireless PC use, which as you know, doesn't happen with this model, which is an exception to this rule (negatively speaking). Another assumption people will definitely make (and which you clearly did) is that the Bluetooh on this device is actually acceptable for music/multimedia... And what is the point of walking around outside with a headset that size if you're only going to use it for talking? I mean if the only special thing on these is their ability to be used by Xbox, then they're not so special.
@@Le_Sourpuss I get you, but how bad can it be over Bluetooth for music? Is it THAT bad? I'll probably never find out as I'm looking at the h6pro/pc38x, just can't make up my mind and see these other headsets get mentioned so take a look. The h3 here is £89 on Amazon and as low as £65 on ebay where as the h6pro are £150 and pc 38x is £175 on amazon. I did have the Xbox wireless headset, loved the wireless and Bluetooth hut hated the sound quality. Currently using some a40s gen2 but don't like the sound of them
