Hello I've got a 320d E46 M47 engine, 136hp. Car runs just fine, engine is quiet enough, the only problem I have is that at start ups , after the car has been sitting for a while, when i start it up the red light stays on for 4-5 seconds and the engine is a bit more "loud" for those seconds, then as soon as the light goes off engine runs quiter...light NEVER came while driving, cars does not burn oil etc..it runs good except this thing on start ups...other owners told me i should not worry cause some of them others do that too...
Mine has been on and off for two years, I had it diagnosed via Snap-On and no errors at all. It’s be regularly serviced and I do roughly 1500 miles a month. Think I will change the sensor just to make sure.
I'm getting red engine oil light and a lot of heat from my engine which is 320i N43. Car starts fine and the light comes on after 2-5 miles of driving? Is this a pressure issue?
For me it ended up being a vacuum line that was attached to my engine cover I guess when I took the engine cover off the vacuum hose disconnected causing the red oil light to come on after finding the issue and connecting the vacuum line back to its original place the light has never came back and I spent 0$ My car is a 2012 328i 4cyl TT
My red oil light pings on when car is low rpm. When higher rpm it goes off and when rpm drops below 2000 rpm it pings on again. Anyone know what this could be
Bro, what's the part number to the breather hose on the back of that valve cover. I just installed the metal valve cover bc the plastic one broke, and I cannot find the breather hose anywhere. Please and thank you!
YOU FORGOT TO MENTION NUMBER 2 CAUSE OF RED FLICKERING OIL LIGHT IT COULD ALSO BE OIL LEVEL SENSOR THAT WENT BAD..ON MY 2002 X5 I REPLACED THE SENSOR PRESSURE SWITCH WAS STILL FLICKERING THEN REPLACED OIL LEVEL SENSOR AND IT RED LIGHT NEVER CAME BACK ...x5 BMW e53 does not have yellow oil light only red
Auto repair guys.. I have a really bad problem on a n43 engine.. Oil pressure sensor is very weak part, it's all plestic case with a brass nipple inside of it.. It broke of the brass nippe part.. What is a good option to replace this or how to install it without leaking oil??? I wish I can put one you showed in the video in because I'm very pissed of paying €42 sensor and it broke immediately

Wheres the link to testing the oil pressure sensor please? You said you were going to put it in the description, but I don't see it.
