BMW's 6-cylinder engines are ALWAYS top of the top! What these engines can do without rebuild is amazing. I would always remember the M135/M140i as one of the most bad-ass sleepers. Insane cars!
Its worth adding that this car has the MHD 'M style brap' feature activated. (the long noise when lifting off). This makes the car sound so different from stock even on stock exhaust...
@@ronburgundy4375 If you decat it yes it's loud. If you keep it stock as provided by them it's actually ok. I have a factory optioned Akra on my hot hatch, it's perfect. Quiet in normal mode and burmps and few bangs in sport mode. Cat and all the tubes are intact.
I used to have a tuned Saab Aero 2.8 with hybrid turbo with 430 bhp. I put a 1.8i badge on the back. It was hilarious. This BMW needs a 318 badge, what a hoot!
Stage 3 usually assumes an aftermarket turbo. This must be a regular stage 1 for 420-430hp. Has to be a mistake. Then the acceleration figures will make sense. If this was a stage 3, it would be running 100-200 kmh in the 5-6s range.
Not entirely convinced this 140 has 480hp and 700nm. Mine has 418hp and 596nm dyno’d and have managed a 100-200kmh time of 8.26. Yes the conditions maybe a little worse here and this has X-Drive which will have more drivetrain loss but still seems very slow compared.
@@m140iblack9 less than 100kg what the RWD model is which isn’t a great deal considering what the car weighs anyway. Should be doing between 7.5 - 8.0. Plenty of x-drive owners have achieved this from an OTS stage 2+ tune. RWD looking at 7.0 - 7.5.
and a pump upgrade + you also need suspension upgrade, m4 lower control arms, underbody brace, lsd and then youre good to go. out of factory the car has some stability issue's etc. after some work on the engine and chassis this thing is a track monster. balance is near perfect, watch misha charoudin lap 1 around nurburgring.
Think it's more like 450/460 range, even with xdrive.. Still , a 6,6 100-200 must be a "stage 3 " setup with at least 550hp. A strong stage 2+ m240i with all bolt ons except a hybrid/big turbo with rwd will do 7seconds flat at it's max. Or it's really running unsafe for a stock turbo..

When other people running intake, colder plugs, intercooler, dv, hpfp, .... are also calling it a stage 2 (which in this case is more correct to me instead of only a downpipe).

It does the same 100-200 times as my m140i did when it was stage 1 tuned, mine has no xdrive and sunroof though, i also think 480 is a bit of a stretch, it’s more like 440 i think

It'll be a little crisper in comfort, but really shifts fast and hard when in sport+ with the shift lever over in sport mode. It also increases line pressures in the trans helping the weak 3rd/6th gear clutch packs when the car is tuned.

It's why you will see "yamaha" branding on the 1JZ valve cover and Toyota branding for the rest. Also this only applied to the first gen twin turbo 1JZ's. Second gen 1JZ received single turbo + VVT-i and Toyota "BEAMS" head.

There is something terrible wrong with the ignition.. But i guess its awsome if you are 13 years old. And drop the headcam, almost threw up before you left the driveway. Nice car tho.. And its a 6 cylinder, thats the most important.

I had some high IAT`s so not the full 480hp. Rwd is much faster 100-200.
