My high school years 2000-2004 was mainly Rocawear, Sean John, throwback jerseys and by my senior year it was mostly white tee’s. I always tried to have 2-3 pairs of jeans and 10 shirts to have a 2 week rotation lol. Ecko, SouthPole, Phat Farm, Mecca etc were popular too but where I’m from Rocawear and Sean John held it down.

Can we finally acknowledge how many hip hop legends have come from Long Island!! No matter how much they deny us, they can’t!! I would make a list but there are too many to list. Shout out to Regis Park in Brentwood. That was a place where you could come to with a nice car, jewelry and money and leave with with absolutely nothing. They would take your socks if the were name brand 🤣🤣🤣
He said he built a car at 17 and had it painted at Earl Sharb... We had one of those paint shops here in Indiana... This shit is jogging so many memories!!
OH MAN!!! I remember when I was starting High School(Evander Childs in the BX) in 1983, moms gave me around $50 to go put some new clothes on lay-away. She said pick out like $100 of gear. Okay, I put a bunch of stuff on hold that totalled around $120-sumthin. So, time passed and the store called the house, they spoke to my moms. I come in the house and she broke on me for putting too much($$$) on the lay-away. Had to go with her like a little kid up to Parkchester one afternoon and get rid of some items so she could complete the purchase. DAMN I WAS HURT! I wound up with like three shirts and three Lee's jeans to start the new school years! I was mad, embarrassed(cute cashiers working there), felt so damn small because I knew she wasn't giving me no mo money for shit! I already had my new black on white shelltoe Adidas. But yeah, I had to run the same shirts and pants until winter came. At least one of my friends made that loud and clear outside one afternoon because of my shirt. There was some days I just didn't go to school!😆 My older brother was seriously pissed about me getting away with that! The stress from peer pressure over running the same clothes in a week back then was a mofo!!!
Shout out To Eric Sermon he came to my projects back in the days in East Ny Pinkhouses. His people live there Shout out to Jamel if u know u know he even brought Redman out there too facts

Black Men of America who did Hip Hop in the 80s/90s were geniuses and child prodigies. Not surprised though.
