    I've wanted to learn how to do this for ages, so I'm real pleased.
    How much harder is this gonna be on a large mountain bike though? I can fakie okay, but I still can't turn and face the right way again, and I don't know what would be the easiest technique.

      As long as it does not have rear suspension, you should be fine. It was really hard for me to remember to lift back wheel, spin the body AND look over the shoulder at the same time. And the latter is a deal breaker! What I found useful is to find a line or a mark on the ground and hop over it, while keeping my sight on that mark.

      Definitely harder but still not impossible. You really need to exaggerate the move more to get the rotation on the bigger bike.

    Hi duncan, first of all you are a great rider and more great teacher, but i have one question: i am a bit scared to do it, how do i overcome my fear? Or is it save to just try it? Like yolo style?

    Thanks for the vid. I have a decent bunny hop and I'm fine with rolling backwards, but I just can get the rotation. I seem to alway land at 90deh. Do you have any more tips to increase the rotation?

    I’m struggling to do the fakie after the 180, I’m on a mtb.. I think my problem is that I’m spinning the wrong way, but it feels strange to change direction. Is there anything I can do?

    • @duncshaw
      @duncshaw  5 лет назад +2

      You could practice the fakie on a hill rolling up straight and then slowly riding back using the hill to give you momentum!

      Duncan Shaw Thanks for the response , but I know how to fakie and half cab ( bunny hop after the fakie ) but when I’m executing a 180 I always stop after the rotation and can’t roll backwards.. I just can’t engage the fakie after the rotation. I looked at your video and you said that you should spin to the right if you’re left foot forward. I’m left foot forward but I spin to the left maybe that’s the problem?
      Thank you for your advice I’d would be awesome, by the way I love your tutorials!
      P.S: maybe you could visit Paris so we, the frenchies, could see you!!🤗

      Robert Sundermann i have the exact same problem! I ride with my left foot forward but I want to spin to the left

    • @robertsundermann1873
      @robertsundermann1873 4 года назад

      Dj MonkyAss hey! I finally got the 180 dialed. To solve this problem I just practiced a lot and it’s not a problem to spin to the left with the left foot forward. What also helps is to look where you’re going.. Also I practiced the fakie a lot. So now I concentrate on the pop ( really curve into your 180 ) and then I just bunny hop while looking and spinning. Also check out the video that Tom Cardy made!
      I hope it will help you :)
