I've never really achieved a nice stable 180 so far and I now know why. Been carving so much that it throws my momentum off sideways. Thanks Dustin - awesome tip for 2023!! Cheers👍
Its great that you did this on a bigger bike, Im on a 26, I can do it on a BMX, but Im older now and on a MTB, I have to do some upper body workouts :)
I really thought carving to start was essential. I started riding again and all the kids at the park ask me if I can 180, its like the kickflip of bmx.
Hey Dustin, Justin here! Thank you for this video; I'm able to land 180s about 4/10 times at the moment and this video came at a great time in my bmx progression! Thank you! -JustinNotDustin
Yeah, I really struggle with the "strength" part...I can do a bunny hop on a 26" but damn, I get tired easily...on a 20" BMX street bike, it's quite easy.
Great tips... I need more pads. I have it in my head that I dont ride BMX until I can 180. Cool Vid! I can bunny hop decent but yea it feels like throwing my bars too scary lol Maybe this is the summer
I spin 180 to my right on everything but bmx I do a goofy mf and spin the other way u think I can switch my stance and learn from scratch it feels very awkward.
That’s up to you. But I will say there are a lot of really good riders that are all mixed up and all over the place. So it’s really your own personal preference
@@DustinNotJustin my fake is naturally other way so that’s that idk if it’s better to just learn the stance and unlock everything I know already or keep it and learn everything the other way 😂
Thanks for the dos and don’ts on the bunnyhop 180. It's my 2023 goal so much appreciated👍
Good luck 🙌 keep practicing straight hops too
@DjTrax78
U doing them now?

I had this same problem so I know the feeling ✊🙏
Don't carve is such a solid piece of advice that breaks my brain so much. I've been trying 360s and I think I need to master the hop 180 first.

Sick beat. Great advice. Pls come back dude. Should have never stopped. I hope all is well, God Bless You
Sup Brody glad you back!!!
Thanks my man 🙏
I always love your tutorials. Really love how you explain shit thoroughly instead of doing it, saying look at how i do it and do it this way
Thanks man! 🙏🙏
Nice tips, definitely guilty of fish tailing the bike. My poor wheel bearings!
Hahaha
I'll try this method
lmk how it goes
Good video. I have that same WTP 24” as one my current bikes.
nice! great minds!
What a great video. Thank you for the tips. I keep overrrotating and falling over since im carving too much.🎉

My bunny hop is high like 18in but my 180 is like 3in, double tire style. How can I switch to the correct way?
Very good explanations
Bro you’re the best I just found this channel and subbed, keep it up!
Welcome aboard!
Nice bike! Shredding on big BMXs is ill.
I carve too much, and start spinning b4 my wheels are even off the ground
Man i remember the old 180 tutorial on the aqua berry kit😂😂
Not carving is the key👌🏻
100% no carve, all hips
great video!! 👏🏻
Thank you dear 🙏

maybe it's because of your set up, adjusting the dimensions of your set up sometimes help. Do you have a lower rise handlebars?
i like youre tutorial. its help me a lot
