You know a lot of people talk about how FFVII hasn't aged well. And well just listening to this soundtrack alone is magical, and makes me think about the magical journey that FFVII was, and still is!
I still remember all of this songs and i'm still 17 y.o. and i can listen to this all day. I still have my copy of FF7 psone. I play the game once a year
The only thing that hasn't aged well is the clunky character sprites and bad translation. Other than that the game is a masterpiece and will always be a masterpiece.
I wish I could rate this up more than once. This takes me back to simpler times and this music is timeless, so many memories and such a wonderful soundtrack to a game I dearly loved. Thank you for uploading this.
+TheReginaldProgram Are you considering getting the FF8 one as well? Another terrific Final Fantasy soundtrack, and the vinyl set has a pretty good track selection.
+WannaTradePants oh yeah definitely. I know America can preorder it as of this month, but I'm probably gonna scope out the original Japanese pressing as it's not that big of a price difference
+WannaTradePants yep I believe so. I believe if you just go on their store and search "vinyl" it'll show results for the FFVIII vinyls and a Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross Arrangement Album If I recall they're asking for a little higher than $60 for the FFVIII vinyls. Kinda steep honestly but that's Square Enix for ya
Man, the quality on this is surprisingly good considering it's a picture disc and the original songs probably weren't much to work with in regards to mastering. Not to mention the damn record plays for almost half an hour and it still holds up. Hopefully I can get one of these along with the FFVIII one without having to mortgage my home. Edit: Just heard your uploads of the VIII release, and man is that one super rough. Shame, it has some of my favorite songs on it.
This one isn't perfect either, but it's definitely a pretty solid record. The quality of picture discs lately has actually been pretty good with more recent picture discs like Rocket League and LISA: The Painful RPG My FFVIII was just a bad draw. I know a couple people who had decent sounding ones but unfortunately mine could've be better
It most certainly is. There's another Square Enix album I paid around $150 for that will be uploaded very very soon as well. It's known as the "Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross Arrangement Album" Honestly I was never a fan of any Final Fantasy games ever, or JRPGs for that matter. Some time in January I picked up an original PS1 black label FFVII for collection purposes and finally decided to give it a go. I'm only 11 hours in at the moment but dear god it's such a good game. Haven't been able to play it in a couple weeks but I finally have a bunch of free time starting tomorrow to finally pick it up again and I'm looking forward to it
I have this exact same table. I want this record but I heard the sound quality isn't good for the price... I will still prob cave and get it, I actually like the pops and crackles.
$55 USD plus shipping, which isn’t exactly a great price for a 2LP... but the prices it has sold for in the past would make buying it now a no-brainer. I’d buy a second copy myself, but I don’t need another
store.na.square-enix-games.com/en_US/product/609034/final-fantasy-vii-vinyl It’s a preorder, with an expected shipping time for September 2020. If you’re not in the US I believe the other Square Enix stores are selling as well
Love your videos man! Hoping to resurrect my unboxing channel (diff from this user name) with the Moonshake records and Data Disc releases I've been ordering
It does not contain the full soundtrack, no. As far as the CD goes, I’m not sure what is present there, but the vinyl soundtrack does not contain every track
This has long since sold out, and nowadays can be found on Discogs or eBay for hundreds of dollars There is going to be a Final Fantasy VII Remake vinyl coming soon that I would recommend you to check out, it features some of the same music here, along with music from the upcoming remake
Playing final fantasy 7 during lockdown was quite the experience :3

altho i played the remake version

Well, a lot of people are stupid too. ;)

There are parts of this game that just straight up are not fun and feel clunky. But it‘s easy to forget those because most of it so good.
I would legit like to debate people that say the game hasn't aged well. In what way I wonder?

Hearing that Bombing Mission track on vinyl is a thing of beauty.
The whole set truly is a beautiful thing. Thanks for watching :) Stay tuned on Thursday for side 2, and next Tuesday and Thursday for sides 3 and 4

Dude, wait til the storyline really kicks in. :D
Dat character development.
@@jypsgaming7660 The story kicks in from the moment that beautiful introduction cutscene plays, FF7 was so ahead of it's time.
Great sound

Now is the best time to get it. Square Enix is selling a brand new repressing of it. Buy it now or regret it later!
@@vgmvinyl is it a good price right now?

Does FFVII on vinyl contain every song from It's CD counterpart?
It does not contain the full soundtrack, no. As far as the CD goes, I’m not sure what is present there, but the vinyl soundtrack does not contain every track
Do you know if a FFIX vinyl is supposed to arrive one day too?
No idea to be honest. I’d definitely like to see it happen, but who knows if it ever will. Hopefully :)

What cartridge are you using to play this?
