Cayden regardless of how you did, your performance is always amazing, I’m a freshman and moved up to varsity, I weight at 152 and dropped to 120 when Watching you, I’ve wanted to make a change for myself and you definitely are my inspiration you are by far always work hard and I want to thank you for that
You're saying you came out for Wrestling and you started at 152 pounds and you're not at 120? That's awesome. As long as you're healthy and feeling good, that's great for you. Just keep going. I got this from an old coach, but he told me he used to do X number of pushup's and X number sit-ups before bed. If you can do 20 in one go, try doing 4 sets of 20 with almost no break. It's a way to get in a GREAT core workout, your shoulders, back...and do it in 5 minutes before bed. That was some advice I got and it served me well, but it's cool to see you in the sport. Cayden seems to be really encouraging people with such a positive attitude.
My god what a war of tournament. So many gruelling matches while already being sick and cutting weight on the second day. Proud of you cayden, so entertaining and inspiring to watch.
Seriously? You started Wrestling because you saw him doing it? That's...awesome. This will be one of the best decisions you made. It's a whole lot better for you than spending hours on Tik Tock or whatever!
I love seeing Cayden going hard on the mat my season got cut short due to my fracturing my fibula in a wrestling tournament (it’s my senior year) watching you Cayden keeps my head up props to you man much love❤❤
20:43 remember your hand being raised here. Sick. Lungs feel like shit. Exhausted. Losing. And you worked through. This moment is something to carry you when you’re at your lowest.
While I’m not a social media guy for the most part aside from watching wrestling highlights, I’m really impressed with your progression. Two years ago you were really struggling on bottom and your opponents were getting very quick escapes. Your dedication to your improvement this past off-season from what you shared is amazing. Regardless of what happens be very proud of yourself with the improvements you’ve made.
Good push through sickness. The gas tank doesn’t feel as full and it becomes such a mental battle so much earlier than usual. Good challenge on yourself to go out there and try anyways and props to you for doing your best. Your blood round match itself was a test regardless of the other matches. Better now to get exposed to this than later so you can practice on it, love the vid dog!
Great performance off of a sickness! Love the effort in every match to take it to the opponent! In a weird way i feel like this tournament maybe wasnt there for you to win but to get a taste of some in conference opponents to gauge and feel where your at this point in the season! Good luck to you as always!
Cayden you’re such an inspiration for me. I got to actually wrestle varsity for the first time. Unfortunately I got beat both times. To be fair one of them is a state qualifier. But time to put in more work and keep grinding
Your grit man, it's so dope. I love to see you talk realistic about the circumstances. You're 8th in a stacked tournament. You'll get back and do even better during your next tournament. More improvements and won't be sick. Thanks for the dope content Cayden! Happy holidays!
Which one was it? Oh, also, that's awesome. It's funny how it can seem so daunting and then you start figuring things out, you win a Tourney and your confidence grows and you become a different Wrestler. Sounds like you're on your way my man!
@@cwittmer07 Hey, just took a quick peak at your page. Looks good man. Just find someone who loves Wrestling as much as you do and just do some live Wrestling after practice. Try shit out, do some live Wrestling, put yourself in situational Wrestling. Start in on a shot and whoever you're Wresting is trying to defend. Wrestling sucks when you're drilling and I think too many HS and Middle School coaches spend too much time doing that. You need to, but...again, we all know that sucks. The biggest gains will come from just getting out there and rolling and finding stuff that works. I look forward to following you as well. Good luck to ya!
@@scourge8097 i got lucky my partner is ranked 3rd at 113 and i wrestle 106. we always show each other new stuff and just have fun with the sport. thank u for checking my page it means a lot
First of all...look at how many people in the comments have said they started Wrestling or kept Wrestling or you've inspired them? Whatever you finish up doing at Parkside will pale in comparison to that! I think one kid said he was over 150 pounds, he got into Wrestling and now he's the Varsity 120? Assuming he's not just cutting in a terribly unhealthy manner, that's a kid who has gotten into so much better shape that will probably carry with him the rest of his life because of your influence. Second, onto the Wrestling...amazing how far you've come. You're doing everything right, you're taking care of your body, you're staying around a good weight so you don't have to go more than a day without eating or drinking, you're working hard. All of it. The ONLY little advice I'd have...and you sorta touched on it...but I'd start drilling just a simple little snatch single. You're in position a lot when you stuff the shot and a guy is backing out. I think if you just went to that snatch and then either ran him through with the double or just pulled it out...that COULD be another piece of the arsenal. Just throwing that out there. Just a safe shot and it can open things up a bit...but of course, it's really easy to see what you should do when WATCHING.
Cayden I love how think about one match at a time. At the Montana open i went against the number 1 ranked kid in the state and pinned him my parents didn’t even tell me until after the match his rank.. keep up the great work and I love the content
Hey cayden its easy to easy that regardless of if you felt it or not being sick had a impact on the performance. Either way you did great, you wrestled a whole lot of high quality opponents.
good overall performance @ 11:50 if you turn back toward the hips, you have two. i’m pretty sure yk that. not trying to critique, jus something i noticed. great work
just some constructive criticism hopefully can help you grow...you need to work on scoring off that front headlock series, you get their alot. Capitalize brotha!!
I have some ideas for how you can improve your top game. I'd stay behind them more and use crab or legs when given the right opportunity. The path to turning means trapping a wrist (upgrade that to a wing or reverse wing when you can) and working towards a stack half. Gene Mills is the most prolific pinner in NCAA history I'd encourage you to study him. David Taylor is the modern day version of what I think the most evolved top game looks like. You need to have a clear defined path of how you are working towards a pin at every second from top. 1.) Forward pressure 2.) Trap wrist 3.) Thread half 4.) Isolate one shoulder to the mat. 5.) Stack If you can get one shoulder to the mat you can pin anyone. Bottom work I think focus on going a little slower and keeping stronger base positions. Bottom work needs to be methodical otherwise you open up big paths of danger. Back pressure, seal out, hip heist or stand and hip heist. 2nd level is an acceptable position to build from as well. On bottom you are losing if you have weight on your hands. Neutral if you study the art of the fake ala Pat Smith and increase your fake rate 3x you'll improve a lot. I would also recommend increasing your efficiency from the front head lock position. There are key tiny details that force that to work at the college level. Mark Branch has some videos that explain this in great detail or I'd recommend Keith Lowrance Granby System front head lock. You are doing amazing and I think you have what it takes to be a national champion.
Bro your like dead was my role model I'm new to wrestling and had my second tournament last Saturday and placed fourth and you helped me a lot to get there
If u get tht front headlock pin it down with your right arm and use the left hand to pull the ankle to you then step over you gotta start isolating body parts
Rough tourney, but it sounds like you felt yourself scaling a plateau in that thumbnail match. I think you could benefit from swimming for the head earlier in some of those scrambles where you're so deep but struggling to finish the 2. Thanks for the cool content.
Hey Cayden, my names Nate smith (157 from Pitt Johnstown) was able to watch you this weekend, you looked tough! Midwest is a heck of a tourney, I mean heck I was 2 seed and only got 6th. Being able to place is something to be said, rooting to see you at nationals. Keep grinding
I need advice, when ever IM in the quarters or semi’s of a tourney, i can never seeem to calm down and just relax in the middle of the match… what should I do.
Wasted and owned. But appreciated and admire the truth you bring on the screen… most will just cut their loss matches. Like school highlights only show their players win, not the loss or pinned. Good trait to bring the reality of wrestling, you don’t always win all the time.
I love the conversations going on during the match
I just hope they let ray ray move in with them.
haha same
Gatta respect Crosby lol😂
Probably the best match I’ve ever seen! Your improvement from last season is literally incredible. Absolutely bullet proof mindset in that match!
Thank you!

Oh I’m a middle school wrestler and I was weighing 98 but wanted to be in the 92 so I had to cut 5lbs and finished the season at 90.7
Just focus on getting better cutting weight takes the fun out of the sport. Especially that much weight
Could tell this was an absolute meat grinder of a tournament. Love to see the progress! Amazing performance!
Thanks so much!👊🏼

Now that's what I call hustlin' way to go bro! We'll get em back at regions!💪

Love how you stayed positive even if you lost, I just started wrestling this year (JR) and you motivate me
