- Putting a duvet cover on after wash is never easy. The comforter (or duvet) has a tendency to bunch up and slide around. Learn how to stuff a duvet cover in 5 easy steps to ensure your comforter lays flat and stays perfectly straight.

www.craneandcan...
Step 1: Lay the comforter flat on top of your mattress.
Step 2: Take your duvet cover and turn it inside out. Insert your hands inside and find the two top corners. You should now be holding one corner in each hand.
Step 3: With your hands inside the duvet cover, reach down to grab hold of the comforter’s top two corners.
Step 4: Holding the top two corners tightly, flip the duvet cover right side out over the comforter. Give it a shake and a fluff until the duvet cover falls down to cover most of the comforter.
Step 5: Pull the duvet cover down. Stuff the bottom two corners of the comforter inside the bottom two corners of the duvet cover. Once everything is aligned, zip it up!
I used to follow the california roll method, which people claimed was easy. As a single person, I had to cross over to the other side of the bed multiple times to get it done. This method you've shown is ridiculously easy!! Thank you so much!!
This looks like witchcraft I cannot figure out for the life of me how you’re just flipping the quilt over so easy. Omg
fabulousitymusic IKR 😂
LMFOAOJSJSBJE
it means flip the duvet cover, not the duvet. while holding on to the duvet through the cover, flip the cover
public static void it’s fine lol the burrito method works easier for me
I had so much trouble as well haha, for some reason I was holding the cover corners from the inside, your hands have to be gripping the corners from the outside of the cover, but it's the inside of the cover touching the duvet corners. Also I think it's a twin bed in this, for a queen bed you need at least 20 good shakes to "unroll" the cover around the duvet.
First time having a duvet and washing the cover. Watched this video and was able to put it in in a few seconds! Thank you 👍🏻
Wow, this works like a charm...I literally used to spend like half an hour putting in my blanket into my duvet cover and getting really frustrated, but this took me like a few minutes thank you!
Omg life saver! I literally had my duvet in a corner for weeks because I could not figure out how to put it on. Watched this video and it literally took me minutes. Thank you😄
You lost me on the flip part. Oh well, guess I'll be sticking with the brute force method.
I've self taught myself both ways, burrito and this traditional method. I learned the burrito method first and I tried this today and wow, this is much more simpler and faster! Thanks!
Beautiful demonstration!!Thanks to the model for keeping her moves in front of the camera
THIS!!! Thank you SO much!!! This simple method just added years to my life!!!🛌🏾
GOOD GOD IT WORKS! Took me a good few shakes on a king size duvet cover but much easier than me getting inside the cover with the duvet and doing it that way 😅
🤣🤣
Absolute wizardry! When it worked, I was stunned.
I was trying to explain a coworker how I get my duvet inside the cover but it was hard to explain, he wasn't getting it. This video explained for me. Tks
This is the way to do it. The result is much neater than with the burrito method (I have a king size duvet)
Exactly!
The burrito method had me crying!
One thing that helped me was I would pull the corners closest to me, then with my hand in the duvet cover I'd find the other far corners then pull the 3rd one halfway, pulling all the way through on the 4th corner. No flipping really needed. After all 4 corners are snugly bound you can zip it up and air it out
I'm looking to buy my first duvet and duvet cover and wanted a better representation of how to unite the two than what Amazon was showing me, lol
Thank you!
Wow yes!! This truly did take no time at all - only 14,400 seconds!
This is so much better than the burrito method. Just tried it for the first time, and worked perfectly with zero experience. Thanks!
WOW CRAZY HOW SIMPLE AND EASY THIS WAS THANK YOU!!!
Ive used this method since I first changed my bed as a kid.
Bought my first duvet cover and this was excellent instructions
Me too 🙂
I used to have blankets and the first time with this huge duvet... thanks RUclips 😅
Works perfect! Just had to adjust it a bit but worked fine for me
Even though my quilt is king sized and my cover queen, this was 👌
Good to know.! I'm try'n it today for the 1st time. Looks to me like the "pillow case" method would be easier than the "burrito." But still, you need to fasten it down don't ya think? Even if you attach some self adhesive Velcro to the edges/sides on any & all blankets I have zillions of blankets already; it'd save the expense buying, by definition, a duvet insert.. Thoughts?
I just did this and it took seconds. Thank you!
Best trick I've learned on RUclips
Don't you have to tie the strings to the corner of the duvet too? Otherwise it bunches up inside.
The use of corner ties is not mandatory, however, we highly recommend doing so to prevent bunching and slipping during the night (especially for those that toss and turn frequently). All Crane & Canopy duvet covers come with hidden corner ties and all our comforters come with loops to attach the two together. Should you want to use them, simply follow the video's steps and use the corner ties to attach the inside of the duvet cover to the comforter between steps one and two. Sweet dreams!
I wish you would make a video including this step. That would be really helpful.
In 40 odd years of using a duvet, with covers, I have never seen or heard of "corner strings".
This does look brilliant and helpful, but does it still work if you put the cover on the right way round instead of sideways?
@martienewton8990 I haven't either btwn fighting putting a fitted sheet on and then the duvet cover on I be done
THANK YOU! An easy method finally
I could never do the “burrito” method - did this in less than 2 minutes!! Flipping it is!!
yeah this is MUCH faster than the burrito method... legit took me 2 minutes to change out my duvet cover
Same
Enough said this is the best advice ever. Just flip the cover inside out and you grab two ends of the cover inside then grab the fillers ends and Bam lol i think i haven't did it yet lol hope i made since of how it works 😄😘 That's what she did
Changed my life. Thank you
This video made my life so much easier!!!!!
Interesting..
What about very heavy feather ones?
My 1st attempt was a fail. 2nd try, I put on a big smile like the model, and it worked.
I've been doing the burrito method. Glad I found this
This is the best one out there, thank you so much 😊
So much easier than the fold up method!
Thank you so much I am subbing and liking 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This was very helpful, thank you!
Best method yet!
my favorite part is when they cut away at the critical points of the process
Thank you! This video made that process super easy!
Worked for me. Gave me a good arm workout too 😂😂
You are a witch. Thank you so much
Muchhhh easier and neater than the burrito method. Thanks!!
Thank you this helped so much!!
I didn't even know you could buy duvets with zips
I know right! I will be looking to swap out my current one for one with a zipper.😁
You mean the duvet COVER has a zipper. Americans always get it confused. The DUVET is the comforter; the big fluffy thing. The DUVET COVER is what we put over it (a giant pillowcase, so to speak) so we don’t have to wash the duvet all the time. In most of Europe they don’t cover it and they don’t use a top sheet. They just take the duvet (comforter) outside and shake and hang on the line. They call this “airing” it. You must remember Europeans don’t shower every day, either, because it is rarely necessary unless you live where it is very hot and Europe is not near the Equator like The Southern US. So, the duvet is like the comforter or pillow and the duvet cover it the CASE that keeps it clean (and would have buttons, ties, snaps, or zippers. There are some beautiful linen ones being made in Latvia on Etsy at MooShop by Iveta. She does beautiful, work and is working even now.
This comment went from roasting Americans to roasting Europeans to advertising some random's Etsy page. And tf u mean Europeans don't shower everyday bro? I can't tell if ur 9 or a rete.
Troy the Europeans I know who live in the cooler areas do not shower every day. It is very drying on the skin to shower that often. Of course if they exercise or sweat they thy do. I am NOT implying anything except that Americans have become excessive about showers since WWII since TV and the concentration of commercials based on cleanliness! The amount of products in grocery stores for washing, shampooing, dental hygiene, deodorant and the like i absurd! We HAVE to sweat to stay cool! Personal hygiene has changed dramatically since the war and not all of it is healthy! Many dermatological problems are caused by products we able and by keeping our skin far too dry! Europeans are in better balance.
Robin Holbrook Alright just saying you cant generalize a whole continent with over 700 million people with the couple people you know.
I know this system. Its very easy system. My husband teach me this system
Thanks helped me out a lot!!! under a minute
I can’t tell what’s going on. It would help greatly if perhaps a duvet cover with contrasting colours (inside/outside) was used and if the process was slowed down to provide a better demonstration.
This really helped me thank you 😃
best video ever
Thank you, very helpful!
This helped so much
Thanks helped so much 😊
Really good quick way to put it on thanks
I thought the title was clickbait, but then I tried it and it took like 10 seconds. Thanks so much!
Well that was easier than I thought. Thank you!
Awesombroso!! You’re da best, that was so easy :)
Thanks to this... Saved so much time. Thank you. Now doing this won't be such a chore anymore.
To everyone who says 'why don't you tie the corners' - most duvet covers do not have ties on the corners. At least, mine doesn't.
I use what I make a pony tail with ,elastic band to tie off the ends and it works great.
Thank you, very helpful
Filing it isn't the problem it's keeping the other blanket from.moving that's the problem I'm having
Useful my friend. TFS. Stay connected 😊
Just moved into a new flat and this saved me! Cheers hehe :)
thanks! now i know what to do with a duvet.
I bought one just like that with the sleeve inside but it didn’t come with the stuff you’re placing inside.
Thanks so much finally learnt how to do it, now I don’t have to have my mum nag me 🤣
I still have to ask my parents to do it for me
thank you! this was so helpful!!
Question? So will you have to buy the comforter separate if you purchase a duvet cover ? Or does it usually come together
Nyja Harris They usually come separately.
B.b. Gun alright thanks !
They aren't "comforters", they're duvets, or continental quilts. You buy one and change the cover every week, or whatever. Some people have a summer one and a winter one.
im abt to cry my eyes out
Brilliant!
Thanks, it's really helpful 😀
thank u, very helpful.
Thank you.
I don’t know how to identify the shorter length of the duvet.
That was the best I've done in my pathetic life. However I'm going to have to wear a new pair of boxes as my current ones are a bit sticky haha
?!?!?!
Banger. 💃🕺
Still can’t do it 😇
What kind of comforter is this in this video? What is the name of this comforter in this video
Wow this has completely changed my life.
Thank you for sharing this esoteric and ancient knowledge hidden from the uninitiated and unworthy. I performed the ritual and my duvet has become covered miraculously! The Magnum Opus appeared. Good night everybody, sleep well.
This wouldnt work if the opening of ur cover is small, right?
Thx for the vid
oh yeah yeah
this is good, the burrito method is now outdated and should be shelved
Insane that YT is free lol
Thanks
Much easier than the California roll technique.
What made me think I was a put together enough person to have a duvet I had no idea that they were this ridiculous
thanks! this was so helpful.
I can't do it? I'm getting 50$ for making beds and idk how to put a duvet cover on. Why can't they make them easier?
How about showing us on a queen or king..not as easy as the twin shown
I’m trying to do my bedding and my mom really isn’t helpful when it comes to it so h
Finally a solution that doesn't involve rabbits crawling out of random orifaces or soul sacrifices.
For the love of god I can not figure this our
Was very heavy. Can't flip
Ummmm…what about the ties???
Unreal this isn't viewed / liked more
It a duvet tuturial it not gonna go viral is it 😂😂
This is way easier than the roll
Sorry I purchased it😱😭
So she doesn’t tie the duvet cover and the comforter corners lol
If the corners are not tied the thing will shift all over the place inside the cover.
@@KITools1 Not all comforters have the corner slips for tying. If yours does, then obviously you would tie it together.
