Good information. I understand there is a wiring harness difference between the base halogen Bronco taillights and the upscale LED Bronco taillights. Will these wiring harnesses work on the base halogen taillight Broncos?
Great vid. I'm glad someone did it. Can you put a link were you bought the short curt. The cheapest i found was bucking nation for $109 plus $30 to ship. Sounds like extortion
IF YOU CAN GET A TOWING PACKAGE WHEN ORDERING A VEHICLE , IT,S THE BEST WAY TO GO RIGHT FROM THE GET GO !! THE RECEIVER, WIRING HARNESSES,, BRAKE CONTROLLER I CAB >> ALL DONE RIGHT..
Thanks for the video. I got the Drawtite but it was about 3/8 inch wider than the frame rail. I am going to have to add a spacer plate to mount it on my 2022 Bronco. Bolts are a bit long too. An extender technically reduces your trailer weight capacity by 20% for every foot.
Thanks for your information. Looks like I will not be selling or trading in my F150 for a new bronco. Some of the other wishes for my next Bronco will be heating/cooling for behind the front seats. That and a 7000lb tow rating 👌
The Ford version come with connector brackets built in and it is better just to order the tow package when you are building/ordering your Bronco. If you are adding any wiring harness to the factory harness you are destined for electrical issues later on down the line. And doesn’t Ford have towing software the changes the steering feel or anti sway ?? You might only get that if you get the tow package installed at the factory, not sure though.
Is it true if I upgrade to a class 3 hitch from my class 2 and add a weight distribution kit that it will increase my tough weight to 400lbs with a GTW of 4000? I have a 2024 Outer Banks well technically 2023 right now on order through the Military Auto Source. Is there a difference with the 4 cylinder vs V6? I assumed that the V6 would have given me the 4000 already, but per the tow manual from Ford, that was a lie.
Brittany, I would be surprised if it raised your tow capacity. A lot of the tow capacity has to do with vehicle weight. The 2.7 will give you better tow capacity but I would be Leary of going past the stated limit. The raptor will tow 4500lbs.
I am having a hard time getting a straight answer from dealers if either the 2.4 or 2.7 Bronco will handle towing my 21 foot Yamaha boat. Some say no problem others say they will check into it . I already know the towing capacity is 2500lbs but is that a number based on dry weight or with the 50 gallon tank full on the boat. Does this mean the Bronco shouldn't pull my boat ?
The 2.7 has a 3500 lb limit. It doesn’t include any occupants or gear. Assume 750 for that and you have 2750lbs. Tongue weight is 350 lbs. assuming your boat is fiberglass, it could have a dry weight of 3500-4000 lbs.
I already have my Bronco with factory hitch installed but your videos are so well done and informative that I can't help but watch.
Wow, great compliment! Thanks for commenting Jeremy.
Great info. Couldn’t decide which one to purchase.
Thanks Reba!
Made me feel confident I got the right receiver!
That is good news! Thanks for leaving a comment.
Great breakdown. Looking forward to the install. Thanks,
Today at noon. Thanks Pilgrim.

Haven’t tried it. Best to contact the seller and ask the question. My assumption is that it will due to the converter included in the wiring harness.

They have gone up since I bought mine last year unfortunately.

Wouldn’t that be nice.

Do you know of any options for a receiver for the front of the Bronco?
Not yet, but it you take your Bronco to Uhaul, they may find an option that will work. Are you wanting a permanent, like to pull behind an RV?
What about 7 pin options?
Not at this time, but you can use a 4 to 7 adapter.
Can you write the desription of the two harnest option and if you have link also will be nice ... thanks
@@mikedsobe adding them now thanks.

Yamaha jet boats are a bit lighter (3200). But wet will be more like 3500 wet. You may get away with it on flat roads. You’ll be at the max.
