Erin Brown Lol my family is pretty wealthy too but any one of these kids have gotten more presents in this video than I have in my entire lifetime of Christmas' and birthdays combined. I personally think they over gift but whatever glad they're happy.

One thing I enjoyed the most about this years Christmas special is that while your financial gain made an impact, it was in the most beautiful way. You were able to afford more but not just in material possessions, in love as well. Your family is growing day by day and the happiness and love being shared throughout you guys is amazing. It's not about the gifts, it's about the happiness you guys get in your eyes seeing your family happy. Thank you for sharing your Christmas Day because they always remind me that happiness is key in all aspects of life. God bless you all

I bet that almost every single one of the people commenting on how spoiled his kids are either 1. do not have children themselves, or 2. have children and are jealous of what he and Colette are able to provide for their own. I think it's great that they are able to give them so much. :) I loved this years Christmas special, Shay! It was like a second Christmas for me.

Honestly shay is just trying to give his kids the life he never had, and I appreciate that. I read a quote by another youtuber which was "hate on success and success will hate on you". And all these comments are just hating on this family that are just living a good life

Guys just because someone is fortunate enough to be able to afford all that does not automatically mean they're spoiled... keep in mine just years ago they were at the complete other end and could barely afford a place to live, I'm sure its nice for them to be able to do this for their kids. I understand it may seem excessive, but its his money and those are his kids, NOT YOURS. You have no place to criticize. They are very blessed, don't be bitter and jealous, take it else where

I haven't been able to watch this until now but words cannot express how happy I am for you guys. to have watched your family grow over the years has been a blessing and watching these Christmas specials makes me feels like I am right there celebrating with you guys. there are so many things I want to comment on about this video, I felt like I was smiling the entire time! with the beard shaving for Colette, it brought tears to my eyes because it reminded me of the last clean-faced shay we saw and how far you guys have come! you inspire me every day and your family deserves everything you have. to think back to when not all of your kids had their own bed, and now to see how blessed you guys are..I am truly thankful to have watched you guys come so far since then. your family is s grateful for what you have and it really makes me take a second to step back and be thankful for what I have. thank you for the years of smiles shay :) you never fail to make me smile and tear watching these adorable videos. to you and the rest of the shaytard clan, I wish you the happiest of holidays and I cant wait to see what's to come for the Shaytards next year! love you guys so much :)

the thing that bothers me the most about all these people calling them spoilt, is you obviously haven't been watching since the beginning of the vlogs. where they were struggling so much their kids all 3 at the time had to sleep on a twin size air mattress, just to get by. so now that he's made it I'm so happy he can be opulent and give them what they want because he worked his ass off to get here. you can do it too. find your passion and make it happen instead of bashing other people for theirs.

I just want to say thank you so much Shay for uploading such a good Xmas special today. I had a horrible Xmas because of my crappy family who basically ignored each other all day. I spent almost the entire day in my room depressed, waiting for the Xmas special cuz I knew that it would make me happy! I love seeing your kids so happy with their presents. I'm 19 now and wish my parents would still put an effort into Xmas like they did when I was younger. Please never stop doing this for your kids, no matter how old they are, trust me it means the world to them, even if they don't realize it now!

I love the Christmas specials because they're all filled with joy,happiness and amazing memories. It warmed my heart when I saw shay give out $300 you're an amazing,humble human being shay. Also I've seen a lot of people complain at how spoilt the kids are, its the time of year where kids get a lot of presents its not like shay does it all the time; both shay and collette are amazing parents who have done a good job at teaching there children to be grateful for things and to appreciate the little things in life. This family deserves all the happiness they have and it makes me smile to see them full of joy and that's all that matters.

Just my personal opinion but I find it ignorant when people say the kids shouldn't get that many presents and that they're spoiled. Shay has done a good job of teaching the kids humility, compassion, and gratitude. They are not spoiled. There are a lot of people who don't get as many presents; trust me, I know. We were always very poor growing up. But that's not their life. They have the opportunity and the means to provide entertainment for their kids and why the heck not! Shay isn't poor and he should be allowed to lavish his kids. In the SAME vlog he gave 300 dollars to give out to people in need. He didn't need to do that. I feel that people just speak out in jealousy.

This was so refreshing. I've only watched a few Shaytards videos this year and I've missed so much. I never really have any New Year's revolutions but this year is different. I've set many revolutions and one of them is to watch every Shaytards upload of 2015. And thanks to this family for helping many others through their videos. ... Shay does earn quite a bit of money, but giving away $300 does not make you "rich". I earn $30,000 per year as a teacher and find great joy in giving during the holiday season... at least that amount. You'd be surprised how much "non-wealthy" folks give away when you compare what they give in proportion to how much they earn.

Im 24 now and I started watching you guys since 2010. This family was literally my comfort place. I still can't believe how grown up all the kids are. I stopped watching a few years ago besides the odd vlog here and there, but this video came up on my front page today. Just had to watch it and all the memories came back.

Before I watch this I want to say thank you Shay for getting the vlog up so early. I know in the past you've spoken about how hard it is to edit, process, & upload a video. Also thank you guys for being you! This year has been challenging for me. I walked out of an abusive relationship, lost my dog, lost my grandfather & mother, & my uncle has cancer. It's been hard but watching your videos keep me going! You're such a good example of having faith & working hard. I hope you & your family enjoy your holiday in your new lovely home! To anyone else reading this, if you're going through a hard time, I hope it gets better & I hope you come out stronger. Love you guys! ^_^
I read your comment and i felt badly that i myself struggled through this Christmas for i had to put to rest my 13 yo chihuahua bubba bear who i got when i was my mom's caregiver when she had a stroke leaving her paralyzed on her left side. When i put her to bed at night she became very afraid even tho i had set up my bed next to hers. They called it sundowners much like Alzheimer's. So if i put bubba on her bed she became less afraid. So losing him was like losing a part of her all over again. Plus i had 10 teeth pulled the wk prior to bubba passing. So when i saw all that u had been thru my heart went out to you. I hope you stay strong and are able to know that through the darkness there will be light. Tho we are strangers i will remember u in my prayers. 2015 will bring you new beginnings so focus on that. Again i'm so sorry for all your losses. Oh and don't be like me and ho back to the abusive relationship. The person never changes no matter what they promise you!! Xoxo

Your Christmas special gave me Christmas Cheer. This hasn't been the best Christmas for me because my dad lost his job a couple days before Christmas and we were already running tight on money so I told my parents to just send my Christmas present money on my little sister and littler brother. So all I got for Christmas was a box of chocolates. But I'm okay with that because my sidlings were happy with their presents. I know Christmas isn't all about presents and I'm glad your family knows that Shay. Happy Holidays Shaytards. :)

Oftentimes, those kinds of relationships are unhealthy overall and should not be continued unless the people in the relationship actually try to make it a healthy relationship. And that doesn't always happen.
I imagine because of that, Carlie and Steve's relationship looks unhealthy to outsiders. It either is or isn't, who knows. What matters is that they focus more on their relationship than the people judging it.
