Suitably accurate over the top stage acting. I always remember with that episode that the "London Wax Museum" exterior was the front of the Royal School of Music, opposite The Royal Albert Hall.
Understated, nuanced and restrained performance, Tim ... perfect recreation of Richard Basehart. 😂 And may I add ... you looked quite ravishing as Honor. 👍
I love these! Great you found the tree but I'm not sure that Columbo ever filmed in Cheam Village! I used to live near there so recognised it straight away!
Dear Tim, I just wanted let you know about a channel here on YT called "Watch it for Days" that goes into every meticulous detail of Columbo episodes that you might appreciate. These are always a joy to watch, thanks for makin - What the ever loving, it puts the lotion in the basket have you done to that Teddy bear???
My favourite of these so far, especially as you're actually on location. Ironically it was my least favourite Columbo - everything in it was so over the top. You've done it justice haha.
That was brilliant and I particularly enjoyed the T in the "Time for such a word". Also, the first time I have seen Shakepeare without falling asleep. Genius.
More Lovely stuff - An interesting made-up fact: The whole episode was shot using Green Screen and was actually filmed in Rhyl but true fact, Wilfrid Hyde-White owed HMRC lots of tax so never returned to UK and his shots were filmed in USA. One more thing - Did you use a Dagger to remove Teddy’s hair???
Ah, the Scottish play. --- Nicol Williamson, who played the title role in several productions, was the villain in the Columbo episode "How to Dial a Murder".
There is no way they could turn you down at the R.S.C. You probably won't even need to audition Tim, because we all know what the answer would be ..........
I always found it curious that apparently no-one who worked in that theatre realised that the old guy with the umbrella was an American putting on a cod English accent. That's theatre folk for you, I suppose.
I would highly recommend you do a “recreation” of all Columba’s cases going to court. They would all be the same result, “Case dismissed for lack of evidence!”
Tim, I enjoy these so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The crow's feet. The beard. Honor's eyeliner. Beyond perfect.

I just fucking love that this is how you spend your time. :¬)
Amazing production - I love this series so much!!!
Professional Colombologolist is Tim. Got a degree from the university of Colombo and everything. Nice vid.
The acting! The special effects! Words fail me. Brilliant work all round. Not over-acting at all!
Added feature bonus Directors cut this one.
"Couldn't find a beard, had to make one out of a teddy's chest".... are words I never thought I'd see together in a sentence.
Best one yet Tim. Nice tree location. Great love the beard made from the teddy. So crazy but very inventive you are and always have been
Come on everyone after this brilliant perform i am sure we would all love to see Tim Vines “Bottom” at the Globe Theatre 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh yes. I'd fly over from Oz just to see it.
Oh noooo teddy! Your sacrifice shall not go unrewarded
Omg lol love these columbo every Sunday on 5 select can’t beat this xx
Heroic

Glad to see Tower Bridge is still there. Much better workmanship than that other one I keep hearing about.

superb ❤🎉
Weird crossover universe I am in where I am both watching Tim Vine and Columbo on the same video.
I love these so much, I can’t wait for my favourite episode, Now You See Him 😎

such dedication, you grew a beard for this video

Coincidentally enough the remnants of this episode will come in useful for the Decapitated Bear Murder Mystery on The Orient Express.

About 40 minutes into the episode. And the other right at 11 minutes.
Dagger Of The Mind was also the name of Star Trek episode. 🙂
A beard is almost all bear with an extra 'd' to finish. So all in all, a fitting end for a teddy. Tree acting was a bit wooden, I thought.
Poor teddy 🧸
Preferred yours to the original, Tim.
Same here(pretty weak episode imo)
LOL
😂
