It's impressive to see him hold his own on a format such as this, sat between two extremely well regarded comedians with decades of experience between them. Extremely charismatic man.
in 1969 I was getting ready to go to work "Down T Pit " When White room came on I stopped adjusting my braces to listen to it right at the end where Clapton Plays the solo Tony Fucking Blackburn starts yapping It proves he has no taste for music
The difference, my dear Frankie, is that atheists don't try to tell other people how to live their lives. Religion does exactly that. Atheist comedians aren't attacking religion when they mock it, they are defending themselves, and us, from it.
I was so traumatized by the movie. I was a young "just be yourself!" raised kid and couldn't believe the end of that film. I still can't quite get over it. I hate that it's done in high schools all the time. I always subtitle it "Ode to Conformity". I really hate it.@@natalyafisher2571
No idea what Noel is going on about with trapping spiders. All right yes, if you live in Australia, or indeed even the wilds of the US, then probably best if you see a spider in your house to get the bugger out of there. Dead or alive. But in the UK I will happily co-exist with the odd spider in my house now I'm getting old and live alone. There's a decent sized one lives behind the sink in my bathroom that I say hello to whenever I go for a wee. Because whilst I do actually find spiders a little bit ewww. I ABSOLUTELY HATE flies! Also did you know that only about half of spiders use webs to catch things? The others literally sit there waiting to jump on stuff? I think that the big one in my bathroom must be such a spider. Because there's no webs in my bathroom and he's not getting any smaller lol.
So because atheists espouse their perspective, suddenly they're automatically derogatory to believers? Gervais is respectful to others' beliefs, as much as zealots are of his disbelief. We weren't ALLOWED to be atheists for centuries!
I was surprised that Greg Davies doesn’t know that dogs are sentient. Science knows they are, even if politicians debate it. As a scientist, I can assert absolutely that it is the case. Although it doesn’t touch what he does as a comedian, he is a public face. Sad, really. I hope no one believes such ignorance because they heard it from someone they know from the telly.
But if you want to see something REALLY funny watch Geri Halliwell’s appearance… she totally didn’t get the point of the show, tried to be really heartfelt and sincere, and it wasn’t funny at all… which was hilarious
Totally agree with Frankie - athletics have become a religion of their own 🤷🏼♀️ Not all bad is caused by god … it’s humans that don’t read the bible properly. That being said there are lots of religions that keep people in the dark in order to get money in the coffers ….
Couldn't agree more with your comment. There are so many people I would add to your list. My mind has gone blank. I must add Steven Fry, American author David Sederas and musician Steve Martin who has a song called something like "Atheists have no songs." He plays a terrific banjo.
I don't think there is any problem with people voicing their atheist beliefs (or lack thereof) - it's something Frankie has done many times. I think it's the disdain that anybody could be so utterly stupid as to believe in God. And, by extension, the assertion that Gervais and Dawkins clearly think themselves *so* much cleverer than everybody who has ever believed in a God. A group of people which includes, for instance, Bach, Da Vinci, C S Lewis, Mandela, Newton, Nobel and so on and so on. Not to mention all the equally talented atheists. Or, to put it another way, Dawkins et al's permanent assumption that atheists are any more (or less) intelligent or worthy of notice then anyone else is so facile as to be not worth paying attention to anything else they say.
Some of these just reek of pretentiousness. "Celebrity atheists" pale in comparison to celebrity zealots. Top Gear was, at the height, the most popular television show in the entire world.
@@Jcreek201 And your opinion on Top Gear being good isn't subjective? Pull your head out of your backside, the lack of oxygen to your brain is making you an idiot!
I'm totally with Ian, and I had that discussion with my kids. In Grease date rape and groping is fine, the only way to get a partner is to slut up and at the same time slut shaming is also a thing. No. Just no. Watch it for the music, the music is great but the story is really bizarre looking at it 40 years later, and I'm very happy a guy like Ian sees that.
i feel like the answer should bave been ignorant atheists cause it's not just celeb atheists that can be like that, not saying i am religious but I've seen the extreme of both sides.
Frankie putting lots of my thoughts into articulate words. It's almost a bit of a relief to see it out in the world.
BRING BACK ROOM 101
Frank is the perfect host for this. It requires a very nuanced host to be able to see not only their points but to be able to joke with it.
RIP Dave

People forget that Danny also changed for sandy in grease .He became a letterman and graduated from school
Gasp, how objectifying.
He improves by joining a team and getting an education.
She shows off her tits and starts an unhealthy addiction.
I have to agree about Magicians… glory seeking psychopaths….
For the record: I am a magician 🤣🤣

Any new year should be on the first day of spring.
The spider was walking back to his taxi.
8:13 - Would I Lie To You moment right there.
Grrvais primarily a comedian Hitchens and Dawkins had bigger fish to fry so they wouldn't be included
also funny that he refreces jenga with the fries cause i thought when i saw the fries that his pet peeve was jenga lol
Greg davies' one about the dogs is spot on.
17:42 Timestamps help.
Cars are a bore. Now helicopters. Interesting and fun.
Yeah but imagine Richard Hammond flying a helicopter every week. They wouldn't have gotten to episode 3.
Agree 100% with Frankie. Gervais is so rabidly, militantly atheist that he comes across as a fire and brimstone minister.
I love Frankie. That is all
Bullsh!it.... Derek ran for 3 seasons?
Who said it ran for 3 seasons? Frankie said it got recomissioned twice, which it did.
@@FfinityIf it was recommissioned twice, it must have been commissioned in the first place so three series.
@@samuelgarrod8327 No, the first commission was for the pilot episode. Sheesh, you actually need this simple stuff to be explained?
@@Ffinity Yeah.
@@Ffinity Whatever, did you work for channel 4 during the commissioning process? If so I stand corrected. If not I couldn't give a fuck 😉
Never seen Gervais judge anyone for their religious beliefs, to be fair!
I agree-Grease is shit.
😊 I agree too, I don't like how Sandy feels the need to change herself for Danny to like her or the fake glossiness of their 1950s world.

the grease reason is weak because she doesn't even get back with danny she dresses like that to compell him but then rejects him lol

cant agree with frankie - gervais, dawkins, hitchens etc. orated many peoples thoughts that would have ruined their lives if not said out loud

I absolutely agree with Frankie, peoples beliefs are their own business.
Frankie's gripe is mainly about Gervais, probably because ge's an overaged "teenage popstar" wannabe.

David Mitchell has a very similar viewpoint to Frankie. I'm with Frankie and David Mitchell on this one.
NYE was originally end of February. Hence why February is the shortest month.
Believing in God and believing in religion are not the same thing.
